Özet
Tanzimat döneminde Gelingiras kazasının sosyo-ekonomik durumu, elinizdeki bu yüksek lisans tezinin başlıca araştırma konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Söz konusu dönemde Amasya sancağına bağlı olan Gelingiras kazasının 1840 ve 1844'te iki kez temettuat sayımı yapılmıştır. 1840 tarihli sayımda 12 köy, 1844 tarihli sayımda 24 köy, her iki sayımda ise toplam 27 köy kayıt altına alınmıştır. İki sayımın sonuçlarını kapsayan temettuat defterleri, böylece bu yüksek lisans tezinin ana kaynağını oluşturmuştur. Bahsi geçen kaynakların irdelenmesi sonucunda ulaşılan bulgulara göre, Tanzimat döneminde Gelingiras kazası 27 köyü kapsamış ve kazanın başlıca ekonomik yapısı tarım, bağcılık ve bahçecilik, hayvancılık ve arıcılık üzerine kurulmuştur. Defterlerdeki kayıtlı bilgilere dayalı olarak oluşturulan tablolar ve grafikler aracılığıyla söz konusu dönemde Gelingiras kazası köylerindeki toplam hane sayısı, tahmini nüfusu, nüfusun sosyal yapısı, sık kullanılan şahıs isimleri ve meslekler, tarım ve hayvancılık gelirleri, vergi çeşitleri ve toplam temettuat geliri tespit edilmiştir. Belirtilen tüm bu bilgiler ışığında Gelingiras kazası köylerinin 1840-1845 seneleri arasındaki sosyo-ekonomik durumu ortaya konulmuştur.

The socio-economic structure of Gelingiras district during the period of Tanzimat is the main research topic of this master thesis. Two counts of dividends of Gelingiras district which was connected to the sandjak of Amasya in the mentioned period were carried out in the years of 1840 and 1844. Twelwe villages in the 1840 census and twenty four villages in the 1844 census and also totally twenty seven villages in both censuses were registered. Thus the dividend records covering the results of both censuses are the main source of this master thesis. According to the scientific findings obtained from the examination of these documents, Gelingiras district covered twenty seven villages during the period of Tanzimat and the main economic power of the district was based on the agriculture, viticulture and horticulture, animal husbandry and beekeeping. The total number of households, estimated population and social structure of the population, frequently used individual names and professions, agricultural and livestock income, tax types and total dividend income in the district of Gelingiras in the mentioned peroid were determined by means of tables and graphs based on the registered information in the dividend records. In the light of all this information, the socio-economic situation of the villages of Gelingiras district between the years of 1840-1845 has been revealed.
