Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı; Hatay ilinin Kırıkhan ilçesinde yaşayan halkın geleneksel olarak kullanmakta olduğu bitkileri belirlemek ve bu bitkilerin kullanım çeşitliliğini saptayıp, etnobotanik açıdan önemini ortaya koymaktır. Yapılan bu etnobotanik çalışma sonucunda 60 familya ve 116 cinse bağlı 129 takson (89 tür, 28 alttür ve 12 varyete) tespit edilmiştir. Bu taksonlar; Mycophyta aleminden Ascomycota divizyosu (2 takson) ve Plantae aleminden Pteridophyta divizyosu (1 takson) ile Spermatophyta divizyosunun Gymnospermae (1 takson) ve Angiospermae (125 takson) alt divizyosuna aittir. En fazla takson içeren familyalar sırasıyla Asteraceae (12), Fabaceae (12), Rosaceae (12), Lamiaceae (10) Brassicaceae (6) ve Malvaceae (5) iken, cinsler açısından ise Citrus L. (4), Allium L. (2), Malva L. (2), Mentha L. (2), Morus L. (2), Orcis L. (2), Quercus L. (2), Ranunculus L. (2), Rosa L. (2) ve Trifolium L. (2) olup, diğer cinsler ise 1 takson ile temsil edilmektedir. Taksonlar fitocoğrafik bölgeleri açısından Akdeniz (18), Doğu Akdeniz (14) Avrupa-Sibirya (4), İran-Turan (4) ve bilinmeyenler (89) olarak sıralanmıştır. Taksonların 54 tanesi fanerofit, 33 tanesi hemikriptofit, 22 tanesi terofit, 10 tanesi geofit, 7 tanesi kamefit, 1 tanesi eğrelti, 1 tanesi mantar ve 1 tanesi likendir. Taksonları kullanım amaçları bakımından değerlendirdiğimizde; 57 tanesinin gıda, 55 tanesinin tıbbi, 25 tanesinin ev eşyası, 5 tanesinin yem, 5 tanesinin oyuncak, 4 tanesinin boya, 4 tanesinin koku, 4 tanesinin süs, 3 tanesinin böcek kovucu, 3 tanesinin yakacak, 3 tanesinin yapıştırıcı, 2 tanesinin temizlik, 1 tanesinin nazar, 1 tanesinin keyf verici, 1 tanesinin avlanma ve 1 tanesinin ise sakız amaçlı olarak halk tarafından kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca bu taksonlardan 1 tanesi zararlı olarak tanımlanırken 17 tanesi halk tarafından sadece isim olarak bilinmektedir.

The aim of this study is to determine the plants traditionally used by the people living in the Kırıkhan district of Hatay province and to demonstrate the usage variety of these plants and to reveal their ethnobotanical importance. As a result of this ethnobotanical study, 129 taxa and 116 genera belonging to 60 families (89 species, 28 subspecies and 12 varietes) were identified. 2 of these taxa belong to Mycophyta kingdom, Ascomycota division; 1 of these taxa belongs to Plantae kingdom, Pteridophyta divisio and 1 of these taxa belongs to Spermatophyta divisio, Gymnospermae subdivision and the other taxa (125 taxa) belong to Angiospermae subdivisio. By the number of taxa they contain, the top families in the area are; Asteraceae (12), Fabaceae (12), Rosaceae (12), Lamiaceae (10) Brassicaceae (6) and Malvaceae (5). By the number of species they contain, the top species in the area are; Citrus L. (4), Allium L. (2), Malva L. (2), Mentha L. (2), Morus L. (2), Orcis L. (2), Quercus L. (2), Ranunculus L. (2), Rosa L. (2) and Trifolium L. (2). Other spcies are represented by 1 taxon. In terms of phytogeographical regions, taxa are listed as Mediterranean elements (18), Eastern Mediterranean elements (14), Euro-Siberian elements (4), Irano-Turanian elements (4) and unknowns (89). 54 of the taxa are phanerophytes, 33 are hemicryptophytes, 22 are therophytes, 10 are geophytes, 7 are chamaephytes and 1 is fern, 1 is fungus and 1 is lichen. When the taxa are evaluated for the aim of usage, 57 of them are used for food, 55 of them are used for medicine, 25 of them are used for household goods, 5 of them are used for fodder, 5 of them are used for toy, 4 of them are used for paint, 4 of them are used for fragrance, 4 of them are used for ornament, 3 of them are used for insect repeller, 3 of them are used for fuel, 3 of them are used for glue, 2 of them are used for cleaning, 1 of them is used for evil eye, 1 of them is used for delighting, 1 of them is used for hunting and 1 of them is used for chewing gum. In addition, one of these taxa is defined as harmful, while 17 are known only as name by the public.
