Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı biçimlendirici değerlendirme yöntemlerinin okuduğunu anlama becerisine etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda bir grup öğrencinin okuduğunu anlama durumları biçimlendirici değerlendirme yöntemleriyle değerlendirilirken bir grup öğrencinin okuduğunu anlama durumları geleneksel değerlendirme yöntemleriyle değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma nicel araştırma desenlerinden eşitlenmemiş yarı deneysel desen kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın deney ve kontrol grubu rastgele belirlenmiştir. Çalışma grubunu Kocaeli ili Dilovası ilçesine bağlı bir ilkokulda öğrenim gören 50 tane üçüncü sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri 2010-2011 öğretim yılında 3. sınıf Türkçe ders kitabı olarak kullanılan kitaptan alınmış metin ve bu metne yönelik hazırlanmış anlama sorularıyla toplanmıştır. Veriler SPSS 22 Paket programıyla analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sırasında Mann-Whitney U ve Wilcoxon işaretli sıralar testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularında deney ve kontrol grubu arasında deney grubu lehine yüksek düzeyde anlamlı bir farkın ortaya çıktığı görülmüştür. Araştırmanın bulguları sonucunda biçimlendirici değerlendirme yöntemlerinin okuduğunu anlama başarısına olum yönde katkı yaptığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to reveal the effect of formative assessment methods on reading comprehension skills. For this purpose, reading comprehension of a group of students was evaluated with formative assessment methods, while a group of students' reading comprehension was evaluated with traditional assessment methods. The research was carried out using an unpaired quasi-experimental design, one of the quantitative research designs. The experimental and control groups of the research were determined randomly. The study group consists of 50 third grade students studying at a primary school in Dilovası district of Kocaeli province. The research data were collected with the text taken from the book used as a 3rd grade Turkish textbook in the 2010-2011 academic year and the comprehension questions prepared for this text. The data were analyzed with SPSS 22 Package program. Mann Whitney U and Wilcoxon signed rank test were used during the analysis. In the findings of the study, it was seen that a high level of significant difference emerged between the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. As a result of the findings of the study, it was concluded that formative assessment methods contribute positively to reading comprehension success.
