Özet

Eğitimin amacı bireylere bilgi ve becerileri kazandırmaktır. Gelişen teknoloji ile birlikte günümüzde bu bilgi ve becerileri kazandırmak için eğitim ve öğretimde kullanılan yöntem ve teknikler farklılaşmaktadır. Her öğrenci gibi özel eğitime ihtiyaç duyan öğrenciler de bireysel ihtiyaçlarına göre farklı öğrenme stillerine sahiptir. Teknolojinin gelişmesiyle birlikte bu ihtiyaçlara karşılamak için eğitimde teknoloji kullanımı önem kazanmakta ve eğitimde teknoloji kullanımı giderek yaygınlaşmaktadır. Bu kapsamda teknolojilerin özel eğitime ihtiyaç duyan bireylerin eğitiminde de kullanılması önemli olmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, işitme engeli bulunan öğrencilerin onluk bozmayı gerektiren çıkarma konusuna yönelik hazırlanan dijital öğretim materyaline ilişkin görüşlerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Amaç kapsamında, onluk bozma işlemlerini içerisinde barındıran bir dijital öğretim materyali geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen dijital öğretim materyaline ilişkin görüşlerin belirlenmesi adına nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden birisi olan özel durum çalışması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma İzmir ilinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı İşitme Engelliler Ortaokulu ve İşitme Engelliler İlkokulunda yürütülmüştür. Çalışmaya 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılında devam eden dört ortaokul öğrencisi, iki ilkokul öğrencisi, bir ortaokul işitme engelliler matematik öğretmeni ve bir ilkokul işitme engelliler matematik öğretmeni katılım göstermiştir. Araştırmaya katkı sağlamak amacıyla veri toplama araçları olarak dokümanlardan, görüşme formlarından, sistem kayıtlarından, gözlemlerden ve video kayıtlarından yararlanılmıştır. Veri toplama araçlarından elde edilen veriler, nitel araştırmada kullanılan veri çözümleme tekniklerinden yararlanılarak içerik analizi yöntemi ve betimsel istatistik yönteminden de faydalanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, geliştirilen dijital öğretim materyalinin öğrencilerin öğrenmelerini olumlu yönde katkı sağladığı, materyal üzerinde dikkat çeken öğelere yer verilmemesinin öğrencilerin dikkat dağınıklığını azalttığı, materyali kullanım durumlarına bakıldığında, öğrencilerin materyali ilgi gösterdiği ve materyali kullanımda başarılı oldukları görülmektedir. Öğretmen görüşlerine yönelik sonuçlarda öğrenci görüşlerini destek sağlamakta ve işitme engelli öğrencilerin eğitiminde kullanılan dijital öğretim materyalinin etkililiğini bir kez daha ortaya koymaktadır.

The purpose of education is providing knowledge and skills to people. Along with the developing technology, the methods and techniques used in education and training differ in order to gain these knowledge and skills. Like every student, students who need special education have different learning styles according to their individual needs. With the development of technology, the use of technology in education gains importance in order to meet these needs and the use of technology in education is becoming more and more widespread. In this context, it is important to use technologies in the education of individuals who need special education. In this research, it is aimed to determine the opinions of the students with hearing impairment about the digital teaching material prepared for subtraction, which requires decimal breaking. Within the scope of the purpose, a digital teaching material has been developed that includes decimal breaking operations. In order to determine the opinions about the developed digital teaching material, the case study method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The study was carried out in the Hearing Impaired Secondary School and the Hearing Impaired Primary School affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in İzmir. Four secondary school students, two elementary school students, a secondary school deaf math teacher and an elementary school deaf math teacher participated in the study, which continued in the 2020-2021 academic year. The data collection tools of the research are documents, interview forms, system records, observations and video recordings. The documents used in the research process were used to determine the characteristics of the hearing impaired students. Interview forms are organized as student and teacher interview forms. In the interview form prepared for the students, it was aimed to determine the opinions of the students on the design of the digital teaching material and their views on the digital teaching material prepared for the subject of subtraction, which requires decimal breaking. In the digital teaching material prepared for teachers, it is aimed to determine the views of the teachers about the digital teaching material prepared on the subject of subtraction, which requires breaking decimals after the application process. System records include information such as which student used this digital teaching material, how was the usage period, and their performance in solving the questions in it. A student observation form was used to examine the behaviors exhibited by the students while using the digital teaching material prepared for subtraction, which requires decimal breaking. Video recordings were used to examine the behaviors of the students while using the digital teaching material, to eliminate the situations that could be overlooked during the observations and to minimize data loss. The data obtained were analyzed by using the data analysis techniques used in qualitative research, and also using the content analysis method and descriptive statistics method. According to the results of the research, it is seen that the developed digital teaching material contributes positively to the learning of the students, the absence of attention-grabbing items on the material reduces the distraction of the students, and when the use of the material is considered, it is seen that the students show interest in the material and are successful in using the material. The results of the teacher's opinions provide support for the students' opinions and once again reveal the effectiveness of the digital teaching material used in the education of hearing-impaired students.
