Özet (Çeviri)
This thesis considers the jurisdictional immunities of the international organisations and their officials and how the immunities of the international organizations have been treated in the United Kingdom. Presumably, the international organizations are among the significant social innovations of the relationship between States and in the last 50 years, their growing role has brought the question of can international organisations be accommodated within the system of international law which allocates jurisdictional competence to States. It has long been accepted that the international organizations and their staff need to enjoy immunity from the jurisdiction of national courts. However, the principle of the immunity of the international organizations is increasingly criticized: if national courts cannot exercise jurisdiction over international organizations, who can? What are the sources and scope of the immunities of the international organizations and what are the sources and scope of the relationship between their competing or conflicting standards? This thesis therefore seeks to outline the intentions behind rules and discuss the origin of the immunity rules of the international organizations and application of the rules both by international and national courts. Moreover, it seeks to discuss the immunities of international officials that how it is considered as an extension of the immunities of their employer organisations' and how does application of their immunities before national courts has more uniformity. In the last chapter, this thesis describes how the United Kingdom has approached the privileges and immunities of the international organizations and how United Kingdom courts have treated immunities in the important cases.
