Özet
Bu yüksek lisans tezinin amacı, Türkiye'deki 1968 hareketini ve Almanya Federal Cumhuriyeti'ni karşılaştırmaktır. Toplumsal hareket teorileri bahsedilen yüksek lisans tezinin teorik arka planını oluşturmaktadır. Bu teoriler toplumsal hareketlerin farklı yönlerine ışık tutar ve kavramsal araçlar sunarlar. Bu araçlar, somut toplumsal hareketlerin ortaya çıkışını ve gelişimini açıklamak için kullanılabilir. Bu yüksek lisans tezinin bir diğer amacı ise her iki ülkede 1968 hareketlerinin ortaya çıkışını ve gelişimini teorik temelde karşılaştırmaktır. Bu amaçlara ulaşmak için öncelikle toplumsal hareket teorileri kısaca tartışılmıştır. Daha sonra her iki ülkede toplumsal hareketlerin ortaya çıkışı ve gelişimi ayrı ayrı ele alınmış ve son olarak da birbirleriyle karşılaştırılmıştır. Her iki ülkedeki toplumsal hareketler karşılaştırılarak bir takım benzerliklere dikkat çekildi. Sonuçlar her iki ülkedeki toplumsal hareketlerin seyri ve eylem biçimlerindeki bu benzerliklerin belirlenmesi temelinde formüle edilmiştir. Genel olarak Türkiye'deki hareketin özgünlüğünün esas olarak onun güç merkezli oluşunda yattığı görülmüştür. Türkiye'deki gelişmelerin aksine Almanya Federal Cumhuriyeti'ndeki hareket kültür odaklı olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The aim of this master's thesis is to compare the 1968 movement in Turkey and the Federal Republic of Germany. The theory corpus of social movements forms the theoretical background of the master's thesis mentioned. This body of theories sheds light on different aspects of social movements and offers conceptual tools. These instruments can be used to explain the emergence and development of concrete social movements. Another aim of this master's thesis is to use the theories of social movements to compare and explain the emergence and development of 1968 movements in both countries. In order to achieve these goals, the social movement theories were first briefly discussed. Then the emergence and development of the social movements in both countries was presented individually and finally compared with each other. Comparing the social movements in both countries, a number of similarities were noted. The conclusions were formulated on the basis of the determination of these similarities in the course and forms of action of the social movements in both countries. According to the results of this master's thesis, the specificity of the Turkish movement lies mainly in its power-centricity. In contrast to the development in Turkey, the movement in the Federal Republic of Germany can be described as culture-oriented.
