Özet

Sağlık alanındaki ilerlemeler, teknolojinin hızla gelişmesi, kişilerin kendi ve ailelerinin sağlığına daha fazla önem vermesi, sağlık harcamalarının kontrolsüzce artması nedenleri ile kaliteli sağlık hizmeti sunma gereksinimi ortaya çıkmıştır. Sağlık hizmeti kalitesinin etkileyen birçok faktörden biri de hastanelerin mimari tasarımlarıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, hastane mimarisinin sağlık hizmetleri kalitesine etkilerini değerlendirmektir Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden“gömülü teori (kuram oluşturma)”çerçevesinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın amacına uygun olarak amaçlı, maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen, sağlık mimarisi yapmış mimarlar, kalite direktörleri ve hastalardan oluşan 25 kişi ile derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Görüşmeler; yüz yüze/online yüz yüze gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiş, verilerin analizinde MAXQDA Analytics Pro programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında gerçekleştirilen içerik analizinde, 6 tema, 10 kategori ve 67 kod belirlenmiştir. Çözümleme sonucu elde edilen bulgular ilgili literatür doğrultusunda tartışılmış ve araştırmanın amaçları doğrultusunda sonuç ve önerilere ulaşılmıştır. Hastane tasarımının sağlık mimarisi alanında uzmanlaşmış kişiler tarafından yapılması sağlık hizmeti kalitesini arttıracağı düşünülmektedir. Mimari tasarımın her aşamasında sağlık çalışanları, yöneticiler, kalite direktörleri, trafik planlamacılar, sosyologlar hatta hastalar gibi paydaşlardan öneri alınması, proje ekiplerine dahil edilmesi gerekmektedir. Hastanelerin büyüklüğü ve lokasyonu doğrudan kullanıcıların memnuniyetlerini etkilemektedir. Hastaların hastanelerden beklentisi; kolay ulaşılabilir olması, yönlendirmenin iyi yapılması ve çalışanlardan memnun bir şekilde hastaneden ayrılmaktır. Mimari tasarım sırasında hasta ve çalışan güvenliği göz önünde bulundurularak planlamalar yapılmalıdır. Hem hastaneye erişilebilirlik hem de hastane içinde hizmete erişilebilirlik hastanın hastane tercihini etkilemektedir. Konu ile ilgili daha çok akademik çalışma yapılması gerekmektedir.

The necessity to offer good quality health services has been born out of the advancements in the health sector, the rapid development of the technology, the increased importance that individuals attach to their own and their family's health, and uncontrolled increase in the health spending. Architectural design of the hospitals is one of the factors that affect the quality of health services. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of hospital architecture on the quality of the health services. The study has been performed in the frame of a qualitative research method, grounded theory approach (construction of theories). In accordance with the aim of the study, detailed interviews have been conducted with 25 people consisting of architects that have designed hospitals, quality directors, and patients, who have been sampled using purposive sampling and maximum variation. The interviews have been conducted face-to-face/online face-to-face. Semi-structed interview form has been used in the collection of the data. The data that has been collected for the study have been evaluated with content analysis method, and MAXQDA Analytics Pro program has been used to perform these analyses. 6 themes, 10 categories, and 67 codes have been identified for the content analysis performed for the study. The findings that have been obtained as a result of the analysis have been discussed in light of relevant literature; a conclusion and suggestions have been formed in accordance with the aims of the study. It is thought the designing of the hospitals by people who are specialized in the domain of health architecture would increase the quality of the health services. The suggestions of stakeholders like health personnel, administrators, quality directors, traffic planners, sociologists, and even patients should be taken into consideration in every step of the architectural design process. Such stakeholders should be included in the project teams. The size and the location of the hospitals directly affect the relevant parties The accessibility of the hospital, good guidance that is offered, and satisfaction with the service they receive are the expectations of patients from their visits to the hospitals. In the process of architectural design, patient and staff safety should be taken into consideration. Both the accessibility of the of the hospital and the accessibility of the services within the hospital impact the patients' choice of hospital. Further academic research on the subject is necessary.
