Özet
İnsanların kent yaşamında bireysel ve toplumsal gereksinimlerini kamusal mekânlarda karşılamaları önemli bir ihtiyaç olduğundan bu mekânların incelenmesi ve geliştirilmesi önemli hale gelmektedir. Kentsel mekânın mevcut durumunun topolojik yapısının analiz edilmesinde kullanılan mekân dizimi yöntemi, kentsel mekânın topolojik yapısı üzerinden analizler gerçekleştirip bütünleşiklik, bağlanabilirlik, tercih, anlaşılabilirlik, görünürlük gibi sayısal değerlerle kentsel mekânın algılanabilirlik düzeyi ve kullanım tercih potansiyelinin ölçülebileceğini ileri sürmektedir. Bu çalışmada kamusal mekânların mevcut durumunun dizimsel, biçimsel yapılarının ve çevresindeki algısal uyarıcılarının algılanabilirlik düzeyinin kullanım tercih değerini etkileyerek değiştirebileceği varsayımında bulunularak kamusal mekânların algılanabilirlik düzeyi artınca kullanım tercih değerinin de artacağı ileri sürülmektedir. Buradan hareketle bu araştırmada çalışma alanları olarak belirlenen Sultanahmet ve Galata Meydanlarında mekân dizimi yöntemi ile elde edilecek sonuçlara destekleyici olarak görsel belirginlik yönteminin kullanılması; mekânın kullanım tercihi üzerindeki interaktif etkileri ölçülmüş ve ek olarak bir anket yönteminin kullanılması benimsenmiştir. Since it is an important need for people to meet their individual and social needs in public spaces in urban life, it becomes important to examine and develop these spaces. The space syntax method, which is used to analyze the topological structure of the current state of the urban space, suggests that the perceptibility level and usage preference potential of the urban space can be measured with numerical values such as integration, connectivity, preference, intelligibility, and visibility by performing analyzes on the topological structure of the urban space. In this study, it is assumed that the syntactic and formal structures of the current situation of public spaces and the perceptibility level of the perceptual stimuli around them can change by affecting the use preference value, and it is argued that the use preference value will increase as the perceptibility level of public spaces increases. From this point of view, the use of visual clarity method in support of the results to be obtained by the space syntax method in Sultanahmet and Galata Squares, which are determined as the study areas in this research; The interactive effects of the space on the usage preference were measured and in addition, the use of a survey method was adopted.
