There are a lot vibrating objects/systems all around us and some of them are vibrating on purpose while some of them are side effects of their working principle. Moreover, some of them are not perceivable such as a bee antenna while some of them are large and disturbing like helicopter blades. Even tough, the helicopters are not only used for military but also for the civilian transformation due to its unique properties, vibratory loads make it uncomfortable. And the purpose of this thesis is to reduce level of helicopter vibrations generated by its blades by designing a mass-tuned vibration absorber which is placed onto helicopter hub. Moreover, composite materials are the innovative solutions for the aircraft/aerospace structures because of their high strength over weight ratio, corrosion resistance etc. Hence, the main components of the aircrafts are being replaced day by day. Hence, in this thesis composite materials are used for the springs' design that are the main components of the vibration absorber. Carbon fiber fabric and tape are used together to create the best lamination sequence that supports the loads while springs' out of plane mode is tuned at the frequency that has the biggest effect on the vibratory loads' envelope of the helicopter. That dominant frequency for a helicopter is N/rev most of the case where N is the number of the blades. So, the vibratory loads are reduced acting on that frequency. Nastran is the software used for all kind of analyses accomplished like linear static, nonlinear static, nonlinear transient. Moreover, MATLAB is used for all kind of optimization work and results' plot.
