Özet

Bu tezin amacı, yeni Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin ödenekli bir tiyatro kurma düşüncesi sonucunda meydana gelen Devlet Tiyatroları (DT) arşivinde dağınık halde bulunan müzikli oyunların katologlanması ve kullanılan müzik türlerinin istatistiksel analizini yaparak DT'de kullanılan müzik türlerinde yıllara göre yaşanan değişimleri ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla, devlet tiyatrolarının (DT) oluşum süreci üzerinde durulmuş ve bu kurumun arşivinde yer alan tiyatro eserlerinin müzikleri hakkındaki resmî kayıtlar üzerinde çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada gözden geçirilen eserler, DT'ye temel oluşturan Devlet Konservatuarı Tatbikat Sahnesi'nin kuruluşu olan 1940'dan 2020 yılı tiyatro sezonunun bitimine kadar sahnelenen müzikli oyunlardan oluşmaktadır. Bu süre zarfında sahnelenmiş bütün oyunlar içinde sadece“müzikli oyunlar”üzerinde çalışılmıştır. 1940-2020 yılları arasında; müzikli oyunların sahneye koyulduğu yıl, bölge, oyun ismi, yazar, çevirmen, yönetmen ve besteci-aranjör kategorileri tablolar hâline getirilerek envanter çalışması yapılmıştır. Envanter tablolarında ismi geçen besteci veya aranjörlerin yapmış oldukları oyunlara ait gösterim sezonları ve varsa bu oyunların tekrarları kronolojik sıra ile bir araya getirilmiştir. Resmî/gayrîresmî internet adresleri ve akademik yayınlar vasıtasıyla bilgilerine ulaşılabilen besteci veya aranjörlerin biyografileri Ek1. bölümünde verilmiştir. Bu özgeçmişlere dayanarak oyun müziği yapmış besteci veya aranjörlerin müzik türleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Belirlenmiş bu müzik türleri, sergilendiği yıl, sergilendiği bölge ve yetişkin ya da çocuk oyunu türü olmak üzere muhtelif kategori alanları hâline getirilmiş ve sayısal bulgulara dönüştürülmüştür. Elde edilen bu bulgular, SPSS programında işlenerek onar yıllık bölümlere ayrılmış ve tablolar hâline getirilmiştir. Tablolarda bulunan sayısal ve yüzdelik bulgular ışığında, müzik tarzlarında yaşanan farklılıklara bakılarak oluşan değişimler yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda, 80 yıllık DT arşivinde dağınık hâlde bulunan 1599 adet müzikli oyun envanter döküm hâline getirilerek, bu oyunlarda hizmet eden besteci veya aranjörlerin biyografileri bir araya getirilmiş ve müzik tarzlarının yıllara göre kullanım oranları sonucunda oluşan değişimler gözlemlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Cumhuriyetin ilk yıllarında uygulamaya konulan müzik politikaları, DT dâhil olmak üzere bütün resmî kurumlarda kendini hissettirmiştir. DT'de sahnelenen müzikli oyunların müzik türlerine baktığımızda, 1940 ile 1990 yılları arasında“klasik batı”türü müziğin dışına fazla çıkılmadığı ve toplumsal devinimlerin kurumların müzik politikalarını etkileyecek ölçüde yansımadığı veriler ışığında görülmüştür. 1990 sonrası yaşanılan değişimler ise postmodern arayışlar ve bireysel özgürlüklerin artışına ivme kazandırmış, basın ve medya organları çok sesliliğe ulaşarak yaşanılan değişimler kurumlara da yansımıştır. Tüm bu bulgulardan ulaşılan sonuca göre, ülkede dinlenen farklı müzik türüleri DT'de sahnelenmiş müzikli oyunları da etkisi altına almış ve bu gelişmeler DT'de sahnelenen müzikli oyunlara doğrudan yansımıştır.

The aim of this thesis is to catalog the musical plays found in the archive of the State Theaters (DT), which was formed as a result of the idea of establishing a funded theater of the new Republic of Turkey, and to reveal the changes in the music genres used in the DT over the years by making a statistical analysis of the music genres used. For this purpose, the formation process of the state theaters (DT) was emphasized and the official records about the music of the theater works in the archive of this institution were studied. The works reviewed in the study consist of musical plays that were staged from 1940, the foundation of the State Conservatory Practice Stage, which formed the basis of DT, until the end of the 2020 theater season. During this period, among all the plays staged, only“musical plays”were studied. Between 1940-2020; An inventory study was made by putting the categories of musical plays, region, name of the play, writer, translator, director, composer-arranger into tables. The performance seasons of the plays performed by the composers or arrangers whose names are mentioned in the inventory tables, and the repetitions of these plays, if any, are brought together in chronological order. The CVs of the composers or arrangers whose information can be accessed is given in the Appendix1. Based on these résumés, the musical styles of the composers or arrangers who made the thetre play music were tried to be determined. These data, which are determined by the musical styles, the year they are exhibited, the region where they are exhibited, and the type of adult or children's play, have been converted into numerical findings. These obtained data were processed in the SPSS program, divided into ten-year sections and tabulated. In the light of the numerical and percentage data in the tables, sociocultural changes were tried to be interpreted by looking at the differences in music styles. In line with the purpose of the study, 1599 musical plays, scattered in the 80-year-old DT archive, were compiled into an inventory, and the biographies of the composers or arrangers who served in these plays were gathered together and socio-cultural changes were tried to be observed as a result of the usage rates of musical styles over the years. The music policies that were intensely experienced in the first years of the Republic and the efforts to spread these policies throughout the country made themselves felt in all official institutions, including the DT. When we look at the musical styles of the musical plays staged at DT, it was seen that between 1940 and 1990,“classical western”style music was nearly the sole style used in plays and it was seen in the light of the data that social movements were not reflected in a way that would affect the music policies of the institutions. The changes experienced after 1990, on the other hand, accelerated the postmodern pursuits and the increase of individual freedoms, and the changes experienced by the press and media organs reaching polyphony were also reflected in the institutions. According to the conclusion reached from all these findings, different types of music listened to in the country also influenced the musical plays staged in DT, and these developments were directly reflected in the musical plays staged in DT.
