Özet
Mimari tasarım, fiziksel, bireysel ve toplumsal gereksinimlere cevap veren, içinde yer aldığı çevre sorunlarına karşı kendi tasarım diliyle ve yaratıcılıkla çözüm üreten ve her bir verinin mimari biçimlenmeyi etkilediği bir kompozisyon sürecidir. Çok bileşenli ve karmaşık bir kurguya sahip bu süreç teknolojinin gelişimi ve bilgisayarın tasarıma destek olmasıyla daha geniş bir çerçeveden ele alınmaya ve yeni sistemlerle yeniden tanımlanmaya başlanmıştır. Mimari tasarım sürecindeki bu değişim, tasarım sürecini algoritmik bir biçimde alan üretken yaklaşımların sürece dahil olması mimari biçimlenmede özgün alternatifler üretilmesi fikrini gündeme getirmiştir. Teknolojinin gelişimi ile ortaya çıkan tasarım kavramındaki değişiklikler ve akımlar, etkisini yüksek konut yapılarının biçimsel oluşumlarında da göstermektedir. İlk dönemlerinde strüktürel kıstaslar çerçevesinde gelişen biçimlenme anlayışı bugün yerini, bilgisayar destekli tasarım yaklaşımının etkisiyle, yenilikçi form arayışlarına bırakmıştır. Bu tez kapsamında, konut biriminin fonksiyonel çözümleri sorgusu altında yüksek konut yapılarının kavramsal tasarım sürecinde üretken sistemlerin etkisini araştırmak, kural tabanında özgün biçimsel alternatiflerin elde edilmesini sağlayacak bir modelin üretilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda çalışmanın yöntemi, yüksek konut yapılarının biçimlenme sürecinin analiz edilmesi ve bu veriler doğrultusunda bilgisayar ortamında yeni biçimsel alternatifler üretecek tasarım algoritmasının tanımlanması olarak belirlenmiştir. Tasarım algoritmasını yönlendirecek biçimlendirme kuralları konutun işlevsel fonksiyonları ve büyüklükleri tanımlanarak belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak; bilgisayar ortamında çok sayıda yüksek konut yapısı alternatifi üretebilen bir model geliştirilmesi hedeflenmiştir.
