Özet

Turizm, ülkesel ve bölgesel düzeyde önemli ekonomik ve sosyal getirileri olan bir sektördür. Turizm sektörünün ekonomik getirilerinin yanında sosyal ve kültürel anlamda bazı olumsuz sonuçları da olabilmektedir. Turizmin bu olumsuz etkilerinin azaltılması ve turizmin gelişiminin sürekliliğinin sağlanması için sürdürülebilir turizm modelleri ortaya atılmıştır. Sürdürülebilir turizm modellerinin birçoğunun başarıya ulaşılabilmesi için bölge halkının desteğinin alınması önemli bir koşuldur. Sürdürülebilir turizm modellerinde yerel halk- turist ilişkileri açıklanmakta ve bu ilişki içerisinde fayda ve maliyetlerden söz edilmektedir. Yerel halkın turistlere ilişkin algı ve tutumlarını oluşturmakta etkili olan faktörler, ekonomik faydalar ve maliyetler, sosyal fayda ve maliyetler, çevresel fayda ve maliyetler ve yaşam kalitesindeki gelişmeler olarak açıklanmaktadır. Yerel halkın turizme ilişkin olumlu tutum sağlamasında bu faktörlerin her biri önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada yerel halkın turizmin gelişmesine verdikleri destek ve ziyaretçilere ilişkin olumlu tutum sergilemesinde ekonomik, sosyal, çevresel gelişmelerin ve yaşam kalitesinde ki gelişmelerin etkilerinin ölçülmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Eskişehir ilinde turizmin yoğun yaşandığı Odunpazarı ve Tepebaşı bölgelerinde anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında 500 anket yerel halka uygulanmıştır. Veriler SPSS 20.0 paket programı kullanarak çözümlenmiştir. Çalışmada sürdürülebilir turizmin boyutları olan ekonomik gelişme, sosyal gelişme, çevresel gelişme ve yaşam kalitesi değişkenlerinin yerel halkın turizm gelişimine verdikleri destek ve ziyaretçilere ilişkin olumlu algı ve tutum oluşturmaları üzerinde ki etkileri incelenmiştir. Çalışmada ulaşılan bulgular alanyazın da yer alan diğer çalışmalar ile benzer sonuçlar vermektedir. Araştırma sonucunda yerel halkın, turizmin sürdürülebilir olarak gelişimini desteklemesi üzerinde ekonomik gelişimin olumlu etkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Yaşam kalitesi ve memnuniyetin, yerel halk üzerindeki etkisinin de olumlu olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Yerel halkın turizmin sürdürülebilir gelişimini desteklemesi üzerindeki diğer değişkenler sosyal gelişme ve çevresel gelişmelerin ise olumsuz etkilere sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Yerel halkın ziyaretçileri hoş karşılaması üzerinde turizmin sürdürülebilir gelişiminin etkileri incelendiğinde, ekonomik gelişmelerin ve yaşam kalitesinin artmasının olumlu yönde etkisinin olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Sosyal ve çevresel gelişme değişkenlerinin ise olumsuz etkileri olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Yerel halkın ziyaretçilere sempati duyması üzerinde turizmin sürdürülebilir gelişmesinin etkileri incelendiğinde, ekonomik, sosyal ve çevresel gelişmelerin olumlu etkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Yaşam kalitesinin artması değişkeninin de olumlu etkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Tourism is a sector with significant economic and social benefits at the national and regional level. In addition to the economic returns of the tourism sector, there may also be some negative consequences in social and cultural terms. Sustainable tourism models have been put forward in order to reduce these negative effects of tourism and to ensure the continuity of tourism development. In order for many sustainable tourism models to be successful, it is an important condition to get the support of the people of the region. In sustainable tourism models, local people-tourist relations are explained and benefits and costs are treated of in this relationship. The factors that affect the perception and attitudes of local people towards tourists are explained as economic benefits and costs, social benefits and costs, environmental benefits and costs and improvements in quality of life. Each of these factors is important for the local people to have a positive attitude towards tourism. In this study, it is aimed to measure the effects of economic, social, environmental developments and developments in the quality of life on the support given by the local people to the development of tourism and their positive attitude towards the visitors. For this purpose, a survey was conducted in the Odunpazarı and Tepebaşı regions of Eskişehir, where tourism is intense. Within the scope of the studies, 500 questionnaires were applied to the local people. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 20.0 windows package program. In the study, the effects of the variables of economic development, social development, environmental development and quality of life, which are the dimensions of sustainable tourism, on the support given by the local people to tourism development and their positive perception and attitude towards visitors were examined. The findings obtained in the study give similar results with other studies in the literature. As a result of the research, it has been concluded that economic development has a positive effect on the local people's support of the sustainable development of tourism. The quality of life and being content with it also have a positive effect on the local people. On the other hand, the research shows that social and environmental developments, which are the other variables on the local people's support for the sustainable development of tourism, have negative effects. When the effects of the sustainable development of tourism are examined according to the welcoming local people, it has been concluded that the economic developments and the increase in the quality of life have a positive effect. It has been concluded that social and environmental development variables have negative effects. When the effects of the sustainable development of tourism on the sympathy of the local people for the visitors are examined, it has been concluded that the economic, social and environmental developments have a positive effect. It was concluded that the variable of increasing the quality of life also had a positive effect.
