Özet

Pandeminin etkileri sadece sağlık ile sınırlı kalmamış, bu dönemde büyük bir ekonomik belirsizlik ve buhran yaşanmış, bireylerin psikolojik sağlıkları risk altına girmiş ve günlük birçok alışkanlık ve işleyiş değişmek zorunda kalmıştır. Pandemi ile yaşanan kısıtlamalardan profesyonel spor kulüpleri de çok büyük darbe almış, bu dönemde futbol müsabakaları iptal edilmiş veya ertelenmiş, sporcular antrenman yapamamış ve yaşanan belirsizlik ortamı geleceği görmeyi imkansız bir hale getirmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı ise Covid-19 pandemisinin profesyonel spor kulüplerine ekonomik perspektiften etkilerini incelemektir.Pandeminin yarattığı etkiyi değerlendirebilmek için nitel araştırma modellerinden yüz yüze görüşme tekniği ile Süper Lig ve TFF 1. Lig'te görev alan 19 takımın yöneticileri ile görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular değerlendirildiğinde Covid-19 sebebiyle gelir kaybına uğrayan futbol kulüpleri çalışanlarına ve sporcularına maaşlarının ödenememesi ve ertelenen ligler otomatikmen maç günü gelirlerini, reklam ve medya gelirlerini, sponsorluk gelirlerini kaybetmesine neden oldu. Mali yapısında sorun yaşayan Türk futbolu hiç beklenmedik bir anda gelir kaybı yaşaması sonucuna ulaşılmıştır

Covid-19 started to be seen in Wuhan, China at the beginning of 2020 and spread to the globe in a very short time and became a pandemic. In the fight against the pandemic, which did not have any treatment or vaccine as of its origin, governments have primarily tried to restrict movement and international circulation, compulsory travel bans, social distance and isolation practices and quarantine practices have been put into effect. The effects of the pandemic were not only limited to health, there was a great economic uncertainty and depression in this period, the psychological health of individuals was put at risk and many daily habits and processes had to change. The football industry has also been hit hard by the restrictions experienced with the pandemic, football matches have been canceled or postponed during this period, the athletes could not train, and the environment of uncertainty has made it impossible to see the future. In this study, the economic and managerial effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on Turkish football were investigated, and for this purpose, interviews were conducted with the managers of 19 teams working in the Super League and TFF 1st League using face-to-face interview technique, one of the qualitative research models. When the findings are evaluated, the inability to pay the salaries of the employees and athletes of the football clubs who lost their income due to Covid-19, and the postponed leagues automatically caused the loss of matchday revenues, advertising and media revenues, and sponsorship revenues. It has been concluded that Turkish football, which has problems in its financial structure, experienced a loss of income unexpectedly.
