Özet

Amaç: Araştırmanın amacı 5. sınıf alan ve uzunluk ölçme konusunun origami oyunları ile öğretiminin başarıya etkisini incelemektir. Yöntem: Bu araştırmada nicel araştırma yönteminin yarı deneysel desenin ön test-son test kontrol gruplu modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu için Mardin ilinin Nusaybin ilçesinde bir devlet ortaokulunda 5. sınıfa devam eden 21 kişilik mevcutları olan 2 tane sınıf seçilmiştir. Bu sınıflardan 5-A sınıfı deney grubu 5-B sınıfı kontrol grubu olmak üzere rastgele iki grup oluşturulmuştur. Her iki gruba araştırma öncesinde ön test uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonunda gruplar arasındaki farkı ortaya koymak için ön teste paralel son test her iki gruba uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Deney ve kontrol grubunun ön test puan ortalamaları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır. Çıkan bulgulara göre deney ve kontrol grubundaki öğrencilerin ön test puanları ile son test puan ortalamaları arasında anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Deney grubunun son test ortalama puanı kontrol grubunun ortalama puanına göre anlamlı ölçüde yüksek çıkmıştır. Sonuç: Origamiye dayalı oyunların 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin alan ve uzunluk ölçüm konusundaki başarılarını anlamlı ölçüde artırdığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Purpose: The aim is to examine the effect on the success of teaching by origami games in measuring length and area of the fifth graders. Method: In this research, the pre-test post-test control group model of the semi-experimental design of the quantitative research method was used. Two 5th grade classes, each consisting of 21 students, from a secondary school in Nusaybin, Mardin were selected as the study group of the research. Two groups were randomly formed as 5-A class experimental group and 5-B class control group. A pre-test was applied to both groups before the research. At the end of the research, the post-test was applied to both groups in order to reveal the difference between the groups. Findings: There was no significant difference between the pre-test mean scores of the experimental and control groups. According to the findings, a significant difference was found between the pre-test scores and the post-test mean scores of the students in the experimental and control groups. The post-test mean score of the experimental group was significantly higher than the mean score of the control group. Result: It was concluded that origami-based games increased the success of 5th grade students in measuring area and length.
