Özet
Farklı düşünme becerilerini geliştiren, hayal dünyasının sınırlarını genişleten, okudukça ve anlattıkça kişisel hazzı arttıran edebiyat ürünleri ile çocuğun tanışması oldukça önemlidir. Çocuğun okula başlamasıyla birlikte edebi ürünlerin çocuğun hayatında yer alması müfredatlar dâhilinde hedeflere yönelik öğrenmeler olarak gerçekleşmektedir. Bu süreçten önce çocuk, çocuk edebiyatı ürünleri ile informal bir şekilde tanışırken; okul döneminin başlamasıyla formal öğrenme gerçekleşmektedir. Süreç içinde çocuk, merak uyandıran ve ilgisini çeken çocuk edebiyatı türlerine yönelerek okuma dünyasını oluşturmaya başlamaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin okumayı tercih ettikleri çocuk edebiyatı türlerini belirlemektir. Araştırma verileri araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen anket ile toplanmıştır. Ankette iki bölüm yer almaktadır. Birinci bölümde öğrencilerin cinsiyeti, okulların yerleşim yerleri ve öğrencilerin tercih ettikleri çocuk edebiyatı türlerini işaretlemeleri için bir tablo yer almaktadır. Bu türlerle ilgili kısa açıklamalar yapılarak, öğrencilerin okudukları türleri daha kolay hatırlamaları sağlanmıştır. Açıklamaların anlaşılıp anlaşılmadığını tespit etmek için 30 ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencisiyle ön uygulama yapılmıştır. Anlaşılmayan açıklamalar tespit edilerek gerekli düzeltmeler yapılmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise öğrencilerin okumayı en çok tercih ettikleri çocuk edebiyatı türünü yazmaları istenmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Mersin il merkezinde öğrenim gören ilkokul 4. sınıf 18.693 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırma nicel olup betimsel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada“basit seçkisiz örnekleme”yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin en çok masal türünü tercih ettikleri tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin cinsiyetleri ile okumayı tercih ettikleri türler arasında anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca öğrencilerin %60'ının en fazla yedi türü okumayı tercih etti sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencilerin bilgilendirici ve şiir metinlerinden çok hikâye edici metinleri okumayı tercih ettikleri görülmüştür. Araştırma sonuçlarından yola çıkılarak ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin farklı türlerle tanıştırılması önerilmiştir.

It is very important for the child to get acquainted with literary products that develop different thinking skills, expand the boundaries of the imagination, and increase personal pleasure as they read and tell. When the child starts school, the inclusion of literature products in the child's life occurs as goal-oriented learning within the curriculum. Before this process, the child was introduced to children's literature products in an informal way; formal learning occurs with the beginning of the school period. Within this period, child starts to create her reading nature with orientation of literary genres which that arouse curiosity and interest. The aim of this research is to determine the types of children's literature that primary school 4th grade students prefer to read and the reasons. Research data were collected with a questionnaire developed by the researcher. There are two parts in the survey. In the first part, there is a table for students to mark the gender of the students, the location of the schools and the children's literature genres they prefer. By making short explanations, students were able to remember these genres they read more easily. In order to determine whether the explanations were understood or not, a pre-aplication study was conducted with thirty 4th grade primary school students. Incomprehensible explanations were identified and corrected. In the second part, students were asked to write the type of children's literature that they most prefer to read. The universe of the research consisted of 18.693 primary school 4th grade students studying in the city center of Mersin in the 2021-2022 academic year. The research is quantitative and we used descriptive survey model. The“simple random sampling”method was used in the study. As a result, it was determined that the students mostly preferred the fairy tale genre. It has been observed that there are significant differences between the genders of the students and the genres they prefer to read. In addition, it was concluded that 60% of the students preferred to read the most seven genres. It has been observed that students prefer to read narrative texts rather than informative and poetic texts. Based on the results of the research, it has been suggested to introduce different types of primary school 4th grade students.
