Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı 1876 yılı V. Murat'ın üç ay gibi kısa süren saltanatı süresince Osmanlı Devleti'nde meydana gelen siyasi, sosyal ve ekonomik gelişmeleri eser çerçevesince ele almaktır. Eser 1876 senesi V. Murat'ın olaylarını konu edinmiş olup aynı zamanda Sultan Abdülaziz dönemi hakkında ve Sultan II. Abdülhamit'in tahta oturması süreci hakkında bilgiler içermektedir. Çalışmamız üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde çalışmanın amacı, kapsamı ve yöntemi hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Ayrıca bu bölümde yararlanılan temel kaynaklar hakkında da bilgilendirme yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümü eserin yazarının hayatı, şahsiyeti, yazdığı eserler hakkında bilgiler içerir. Buradaki amaç incelemesi yapılan eserin yazarını tanımaktır. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümü Sultan Abdülaziz ve Sultan V. Murat dönemlerinin olaylarını ele alır. Bu bölüm eserin içeriğinde yer alan konular çerçevesinde belirlenmiştir. Değerlendirilmesi yapılan kitap V. Murat'ın Osmanlı tahtına geçmesi ile başlamaktadır. Ancak eserde V. Murat'ın cülusuna gelen süreç detaylıca ele alınmadığı için biz de Abdülaziz dönemi gelişmelerini etraflıca ele almaya karar kıldık. Bu bölümde Sultan Abdülaziz'in politikaları, Avrupa ve Mısır seyahatleri, Balkan bunalımı, mali gelişmeler hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Ayrıca Sultan V. Murat'ın hastalığı, o dönemde meydana gelen ve değerlendirdiğimiz eserin de içinde yer alan Abdülaziz'in intiharı olayı, Çerkez Hasan Vakası ve V. Murat'ın tahttan indirilme süreci de ele alınmıştır. Eserin son bölümü olan üçüncü bölüm ele almış olduğumuz kitabı içermektedir. Öncelikli olarak kitabın transkripsiyonu yapılmıştır. Sonrasında bilinmeyen kavramlar tespit edilerek eserin sadeleştirilmesi üzerine çalışılmıştır. Sonrasında eserin içeriği bize sunduğu tarihi bilgiler anlamında değerlendirilmeye alınmıştır. Eserin orijinal metnine sadık kalınarak aynı sıralama ile eser değerlendirilmiştir. Varsa dönemi hakkında farklı bilgiler kaynak belirtilerek karşılaştırmaya alınmıştır. Kitap V. Murat'ın tahta geçişi ile başlamaktadır. Devamında meşruti sisteme geçiş çalışmaları, Sultan Abdülaziz'in tahttan nasıl indirildiği, Abdülaziz'in ölümü, Çerkez Hasan Vakası, 93 Harbine giden süreçte Balkan bunalımı, V. Murat'ın hastalığı ve son olarak da II. Abdülhamit'in Osmanlı tahtına geçişi ele alınmıştır.

The aim of this study is to deal with the political, social, and economic developments in the Ottoman Empire during the reign of Murat V, which lasted as short as three months in 1876, within the framework of the work. The work is about the events of Murat V in 1876 and about the period of Sultan Abdulaziz and Sultan II. It contains information about the process of Abdülhamit's accession to the throne. Our work consists of three parts. In the introduction, information about the purpose, scope and method of the study is given. In addition, information was given about the main sources used in this section. The first part of the study contains information about the author's life, personality, and the works he wrote. The aim here is to know the author of the work under review. The second part of the study deals with the events of Sultan Abdulaziz and Sultan Murat V periods. This section has been determined within the framework of the subjects included in the content of the work. The evaluated book begins with the ascension of Murat V to the Ottoman throne. However, since the process leading up to the succession of Murat V is not discussed in detail in the work, we decided to deal with the developments in the period of Abdülaziz in detail. In this section, information is given about the policies of Sultan Abdulaziz, his travels to Europe and Egypt, the Balkan crisis, and financial developments. In addition, the illness of Sultan Murat V, the suicide of Abdulaziz, which took place at that time and is included in the work we evaluated, the Circassian Hasan Case and the process of dethroning Murat V are also discussed.The third chapter, which is the last part of the work, includes the book we have discussed. First, the transcription of the book was made. Afterwards, unknown concepts were identified, and the work was tried to be simplified. Afterwards, the content of the work was evaluated in terms of the historical information it presented to us. The work was evaluated in the same order, remaining faithful to the original text of the work. Different information about the period, if any, has been compared by specifying the source. The book begins with the accession of Murat V. Subsequently, the transition to the constitutional system, how Sultan Abdulaziz was deposed, the death of Abdulaziz, the Circassian Hasan Incident, the Balkan crisis in the process leading to the 93 War, the illness of Murat V and finally the II. Abdülhamit's transition to the Ottoman throne is discussed.
