Özet
阿卜杜拉是一个土耳其冰淇淋师，为了生计来到中国工作。然而，他是个比较传统的土耳其人，不太能适应其他国家的文化，尤其是来到中国后，由于语言不通又长时间生活在异国他乡，他感到很孤独。直到有了一个来自土耳其的新朋友——约瑟夫的出现，才使得他的生活发生了变化，约瑟夫跟着他学习怎么做冰淇淋生意。约瑟夫是个年轻的 90 后，性格很开朗、活跃但也很懒散。由于约瑟夫毕业于中国的大学，会说中文，所以他在很多方面与阿卜杜拉都没有相似点。但对阿卜杜拉来说，这是他在远方唯一的朋友。片子的矛盾点之一便是体现在他们的性格方面，阿卜杜拉认识他之后很珍惜他，阿卜杜拉尝试想改变他，但是约瑟夫还是按照自己习惯的方式生活。或许是由于习以为常，阿卜杜拉并没有发现约瑟夫的到来渐渐地改变了他的生活，让他在远方更幸福，让他习惯了在中国的生活。 笔者试图在跨文化语境下通过这部片子讲述一个两个来自同一个国家，但是不同性格、不同年龄、不同生活方式的人在异国他乡产生出的新的文化差异与文化碰撞的故事，随着时间的流逝，两人的友谊也越来越亲密；同时，这也是一个不懂中文、不懂中国文化的人慢慢习惯上中国的生活的故事。

Turkish ice-cream has been very popular in China recently. The reason is simple. Witheconomic development, Chinese people has started to enjoy new and fresh foreigncultures,becoming more and more open and inclusive. Some of them find the way of sellingTurkishice-cream very interesting while others are attracted by its taste. It is common that laborersina country come from all over the world. However, a majority of these foreigners wholiveabroad to earn moneys know neither the local language nor the local culture. Theyjust comefor money. And that is exactly the reason why I decided to film 'Turkish Ice-CreamMakers':they work in China, without knowledge of language or culture, not used to diet customs,living alone far from home on a very structured schedule -go to work in the morningandgohome at night. I got to know Abdullah because we were from the same country. I chosetofilm him not only because making Turkish ice-cream is a performance deliveringhappiness,but also because Abdullah is an unhappy person who makes others happy, whichiscontradictory. Through his story, people can have a view of how a foreigner adaptedhimselfto and developed an affinity for the life in China, as well as how two Turkish influenceeachother. Learning from many excellent documentaries, I've found that documentaries arealsotelling stories, the conflicts of the characters, and the process of characters solvingproblems.This made me to go deeper to the life of Abdullah and Yusuf, to observe it, fromwhichIcaptured the loneliness and emptiness of master Abdullah and his desire to blend intoChineselife, and to record this process. Documentaries should be artless and simple. Therefore, I willtry to cover up the techniques I used and to immerse the audience in the work.
