Özet
Bu çalışmada 21. yüzyılın fantastik sinemasının en önemli ve popüler örneklerinden olan Harry Potter filmlerinde kahraman ve gölge kavramları temsili incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda kahraman ve gölgenin arketipsel özellikleriyle birbirlerinin aynısı olup olmadığına ve birbirleriyle olan ilişkisine bakılmıştır. Fantastik sinemada kahramanın yolculuğunun esas hikâye ekseni olup olmadığı temel soru olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın kuramsal temelinde Joseph Campbell'ın monomit kuramı esas alınarak, Harry Potter filmlerinin kahramanın yolculuğuna uyumlu olup olmadığına bakılmıştır. Bu kuramın aşamalarında kahramanın gölgesiyle olan ilişkisinin Harry Potter filmlerinde nasıl temsil edildiğine de bakılıp, serinin seçilen altı filmi kahraman – gölge kavramları esas alınarak, her filmin mitolojik bağlamlarda incelemeleri yapılmıştır. Bu kuramsal temeller film incelemeleri için yöntem olarak alınarak, filmlerin karakter ve anlatı analizleri yapılmış ve görsel karşılık olarak temsillerine bakılıp yorumlanmıştır. Filmlerden seçilen sahnelerin mitolojik hikayelerle benzerliğine bakılıp mitik tema üzerinden incelenmiştir. Sonuç bölümünde monomit anlatısının kahraman üzerinde karakter gelişimine nasıl etki ettiğine, iyi-kötü savaşının Harry Potter filmlerinin önermesinde nasıl bir tezahür ortaya çıkardığı incelenmiştir. Hala popülerliğini koruyan ve kült haline gelmiş Harry Potter evreni üzerinde, kahraman ve düşman ilişkisinin etkilerine bakılmıştır. Fantastik türde ve masalda temel amacın, monomitin nihai anlamı olan ölüp yeniden doğmak olmasının insanın ve sinema anlatısını etkilediği bulgularına varılmıştır.

In this study, the representation of hero and shadow concepts in Harry Potter films, one of the most important and popular examples of fantastic cinema of the 21st century, has been examined. In this context, whether the hero and the shadow are the same with their archetypal features and their relationship with each other have been examined. The main question is whether the hero's journey is the main story axis in fantastic cinema. On the theoretical basis of the study, Joseph Campbell's monomyth theory was taken as a basis, and it was examined whether the Harry Potter films were compatible with the hero's journey. In the stages of this theory, how the relationship of the hero with his shadow is represented in the Harry Potter films, six films of the series are examined in mythological contexts, based on the concepts of hero - shadow. These theoretical foundations were taken as a method for film reviews, and the character and narrative analyzes of the films were made and interpreted by looking at their representations as visual counterparts. The similarity of the scenes selected from the movies with the mythological stories was examined and examined through the mythical theme. In the conclusion part, how the monomyth narrative affects the character development on the hero and how the good-evil war manifests itself in the proposition of the Harry Potter films is examined. The effects of the hero-villain relationship on the Harry Potter universe, which is still popular and has become a cult, were examined. It has been found that the main purpose of the fantasy genre and fairy tale is to die and be reborn, which is the ultimate meaning of monomyth, that affects the human and cinematic narrative.
