The purpose of this quantitative study was to the comparison of transformational and transactional leadership styles of Turkish Generation Y Startup Leaders. Concerning the literature, no previous research compared the transformational and transactional leadership styles of Generation Y Startup Leaders in Turkish Context. To fill this literature gap, this study aims analyzing and comparison of transformational and transactional leadership styles of Turkish Generation Y Startup Leaders. The generation Y was born during 1980-2000, and the members of this cohort are in the 19-39 age range as of 2019. In order to analyze and compare transformational and transactional leadership styles of Turkish Generation Y startup leaders, TLS (Transformational Leadership Scale) which was newly developed by Dönmez and Toker (2017) used in this study. Totally 66 Turkish Generation Y Startup leaders participated in this study. The results reveal that (1) positive-moderate relationship exists between Turkish Generation Y Startup Leaders and transformational leadership style; (2) positive-moderate relationship exists between Turkish Generation Y Startup Leaders and transactional leadership style; (3) Turkish Generation Y Startup Leaders exhibit more transformational leadership attributions than transactional leadership.
