Özet
George Bernard Shaw'ın Geneva, Sam Shepard'ın States of Shock, George Packer'ın Betrayed ve Wole Soyinka'nın Alapata Apata adlı eserlerini inceleyen bu çalışma, seçilen metinlerdeki siyasi özelliklere odaklanarak, metinlerdeki siyasi tezahürleri ve edebiyatın küresel siyasetteki rolünü incelemektedir. Çalışma, edebiyat ve siyaset arasındaki güçlü bağı vurgularken, aynı zamanda bu iki kavram arasındaki farklılığın da altını çiziyor. Edebiyatın bir siyasetin sosyo-politik, ekonomik, kültürel bozukluklarını ve çöküşlerini eleştirdiğini ve edebiyatın kendisinin siyaset olmadığını, ancak siyaseti kontrol altına almak için bir araç olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu çalışma için seçilen 20. ve 21. yüzyıl metinleri doğrudan siyaseti ele almakta, siyasi mücadelelerin fikir ve hareketlerini yansıtmakta ve uluslara ve siyasi sistemlere nasıl temel bir öncelik verildiğini etkilemektedir. Bu nedenle çalışmanın bulguları, belirli siyasi literatür hakkındaki gerçekleri göstermekte ve insanların siyasetteki görevlerini edebi yapılar perspektifinden anlamalarına yardımcı olmaktadır.

In Geneva by George Bernard Shaw, States of Shock by Sam Shepard, Betrayed by George Packer, and Alapata Apata by Wole Soyinka, this study examines the political manifestation in the texts and the role of literature in global politics, focusing on the political features in the selected texts. The study highlights the strong connection between literature and politics but also highlights the disparity between the two terms. It shows that literature criticises the socio-political, economic, cultural mendacities and decadences of a polity and that literature itself is not politics but an instrument to put politics in check. The 20th and 21st century texts selected for this study address politics directly, reflecting the ideas and movements of political struggles and affecting how nations and political systems are given a core priority. The findings of the study therefore show facts about specific political literature and help people understand their duty in politics from the perspective of literary structures. This dependency is evident in the political manifestation, engagement, and opprobrium of the selected texts. The study's findings explain that it is indispensable for literary scholars to identify the distinction between literary independence and political commitment. Thus, they further reveal that literature serves as a panopticon that watches over the activities of politics, reflecting the populist structure as sinister and requiring a critical reconnaissance from a superior power. In connection with Foucauldian thought, the study reflects the populist structure's ominous propensity and the need for a superior power to watch over it.
