Özet
Kişisel ve toplumsal olaylara bağlı olarak insanların içinde yaşadıkları eve atfettiği anlamlar ve biricik deneyimleri değişip dönüşmektedir. Dünya geneline yayılarak etkisini gösteren Covid-19 pandemisi, bireylerin bazen kısmen bazen sokağa çıkma yasaklarıyla tamamen evlerine kapanmalarına yol açmıştır. Bu süreç; evlere dair korunma duygusunun öne çıktığı, rutinlerin değiştiği, bütün eylemlerin bir arada barındığı, evin tek mekân haline dönüşmesiyle evde geçirilen sürenin arttığı bir dönem olmuştur. Küresel bir salgına tanıklık ediş ise yaşanılan yeni deneyimlerle eve yüklenen anlamların ve evle kurulan ilişkilerin farklılaşması açısından önemli ve incelenmesi gereken bir konu olarak görülmüştür. Bu çalışmada Gaston Bachelard'ın perspektifinden ''Mekânın Poetikası'' isimli kitabında bahsettiği ev imgesi/eve dair özellikler kavramsallaştırılarak, pandemi dönemindeki bireysel deneyimleri keşfetmek ve evin anlamlarını deşifre etmek amacıyla araçsallaştırılmıştır. Bununla birlikte bireyleri pandemide yaşadıkları evden; insanların ev duygusunu ilk kez öğrendiği ve zihninde ev imgesini oluşturdukları, çocukluklarını geçirdikleri evlerine döndürerek, evlerine yükledikleri anlam ve deneyimleri ortaya çıkarmak hedeflenmiştir. Tez çalışmasının birinci adımı Bachelard'ın ev imgesinden hareketle bir teorik çerçevenin oluşturulması ve evi nasıl anlamlandırdığımıza yönelik kavramsal bir formül elde edilmesi aşamasıdır. Teorik çerçeve içerisinde evin çok boyutlu doğası Bachelard'ın ev imgesinden yola çıkılarak 5 kavram üzerinden sorgulamaya açılmıştır. Bunlar; düşleme, aidiyet, koru(n)ma değerleri, deneyim ve istikrar kavramlarıdır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yönteminden anket tekniği kullanılarak her iki ev için (doğulan ev/çocukluk evi ve pandemide yaşanılan ev), belirlenen 5 kavram ışığında hazırlanmış sorularla anket tasarlanmıştır. Tez çalışmasının ikinci adımında ise bu teorik çerçevenin yardımıyla pandemi dönemindeki eve dair deneyimlerimiz ve doğulan eve/çocukluk evimize dair deneyimlerimiz bir anket çalışmasıyla sınanmaktadır. İleride yeni bir salgının meydana gelme ihtimali ve bilinmezliğiyle birlikte insanların eve dair beklentilerinin, ihtiyaçlarının ve duygularının değişebileceği ve bu sebeple de bu tez çalışmasının evin anlamına farklı bir gözden bakabilen bir rehber olacağı öngörülmektedir. Gelecekte anlam dolu evlerde yaşayabilmek ve bireylerin evlerini mutluluk mekânı olarak adlandırabilmeleri içinse eve dair anlamsal çalışmalar önem arz etmektedir.

Depending on personal and social events, the meanings that people attribute to the home they live in and their unique experiences are changing and transforming. The Covid-19 pandemic, which has spread across the world, has caused individuals to stay at their homes, sometimes partially, sometimes completely with curfews. It has been a period in which the sense of protection for the homes has come to the fore, routines have changed, all actions have been sheltered together, and the time spent at home has increased as the home has become a single place. Witnessing a global epidemic, on the other hand, was seen as an important issue that should be examined in terms of the differentiation of the meanings attributed to the home and the relations established with the home with the new experiences. In this study, from the perspective of Gaston Bachelard, the image of home/home-related features mentioned in his book ''The Poetics of Space'' was conceptualized and instrumentalized in order to explore individual experiences during the pandemic period and decipher the meanings of home. It is aimed to reveal the experiences and meaning they have attached to their homes by returning individuals from the home where they lived during the pandemic to the homes where people learned the feeling of home for the first time and formed the image of home in their minds, where they spent their childhood. The first step of the thesis is to create a theoretical framework based on Bachelard's home image and to obtain a conceptual formula for how we make sense of the home. Within the theoretical framework, the multidimensional nature of the home was opened to question through 5 concepts based on Bachelard's home image. These are imagination, belonging, protection values, experience and stability. In the research, a survey was designed with questions prepared in the light of 5 determined concepts for both homes (the home born/childhood home and the home where lived in the pandemic) by using the survey technique which is a quantitative research method. In the second step of the thesis, with the help of this theoretical framework, our experiences about the home during the pandemic period and our experiences about the home born/our childhood home are tested with a survey. With the possibility and uncertainty of a new epidemic occurring in the future, people's expectations, needs and feelings about home may change, and for this reason, it is predicted that this thesis will be a guide that can look at the meaning of home from a different perspective. In order to be able to live in meaningful homes in the future and for individuals to call their homes a place of happiness, semantic studies about the home are important.
