ABSTRACT As the communication technologies are developed many businesses become successful to get out of their geographical trading frontiers. This means bigger markets, more sales but also more sources to refund and more risks to be taken. From this point of view, not only large enterprises which have worldwide targets, also the little ones should re-turn money effectively. Re-turning the money means, with a convenient inventory management, to move the stocks as fast as possible and not to confine the money within the stock. When a special inventory control is in process some qualitative facts like competition, economical movements, market conditions, demand, technology, forecasting should be taken into consideration very carefully. All these show that a fast moving goods producer or distributor has to have a well-programmed inventory management. In this study a computer component company, namely Karma Donanım Yazılım A.Ş. (KTR) has been searched. KTR is carrying more than 500 items. These items may be easily called very fast moving consumer goods due to production and marketing-sales issues. The main reason of this very fast moving is the incredible development speed of technology and the unsaturated markets. To build up an inventory control model which can be practically used without complex approaches I made research on inventory concepts and designed a model for the company.
