Özet
Tarihsel kökenleri 17.yüzyıla kadar dayanan ve siyasal düşünce terminolojisine 19.yüzyılda giriş yapmış olan liberalizm; bireyciliği esas alan, bireyin özgürlüklerini savunan, hukukun üstünlüğünü ilke edinen, bireylerin ekonomik ve siyasal hak ve özgürlüklerine teminat talep eden, piyasanın işleyişinin doğal akışına bırakılmasını ve devletin hem piyasaya hem bireylere müdahalesinin en minimal düzeye indirilmesini arzulayan bir doktrin, bir ideoloji, bir toplum ve devlet modelidir. Liberalizm özünde, devletin azami seviyede sınırlandırılmasını arzulayan, devleti bireyin ve bireylerin oluşturduğu topluluğun gereksinimlerini karşılama aracı olarak gören bir sistemdir. Bir Batı ideolojisi olan liberalizmin Türkiye'deki tezahürü, Tanzimat Fermanı'na kadar geriye götürülebilecek bir geçmişe sahiptir. Türkiye'de farklı dönemlerde farklı seviyelerde kendisine yer bulmaya çalışan liberal fikirler, kendine özgü olup, Batı'dakilerine nazaran yaygın bir pratik alandan mahrum durumdadır. Çok partili demokratik bir rejime geçişin ardından hem siyasi alanda hem düşün dünyasında kendisine yer bulmaya çalışan liberal fikriyatın Türkiye'de siyasi ve iktisadi olarak en etkili dönemi, 1980 sonrası döneme tekabül etmektedir. Liberalizmin Türkiye'de hem iktisaden hem siyaseten hem de fikri anlamda en popüler noktaya geldiği devre 1980'li yıllar ve sonrası olarak kabul edilmektedir. Liberal fikirlerin tartışılması, tanıtılması ve yayılması gibi faaliyetleri gerçekleştirmek amacıyla 1996 yılında yayım hayatına başlayan Liberal Düşünce Dergisi, Türkiye'nin sosyal, siyasi ve iktisadi meselelerine liberal bakış açısıyla yaklaşarak bu anlamda Türkiye'de liberalizmin tezahürü açısından ciddi önem ihtiva etmektedir. 1992 yılında bir fikir grubu olma gayesiyle informel şekilde kurulan, 1994 yılında dernek çatısı altında resmiyetini kazanan, ülkenin sorunlarına liberal perspektiften bakarak çözüm getirmeyi amaç edinen Liberal Düşünce Topluluğu'nun içinden çıkmış Liberal Düşünce Dergisi çalışmanın konusunu teşkil etmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı, Liberal Düşünce Dergisi'nin özellikle 2013 ve sonrasında Türkiye'nin gündemini ve siyasetini yoğun bir şekilde meşgul eden, liberallerin ayrışma ve bölünmesine de sebep olan siyasi meselelere yaklaşımını ortaya koymaktır.

The doctrine of liberalism, whose historical roots date back to the 17th century and which entered the terminology of political thought in the 19th century, is a doctrine, an ideology, a model of society and state that is based on individualism, defends the freedoms of the individual, adheres to the rule of law, demands guarantees for the economic and political rights and freedoms of individuals, desires the operation of the market to be left to its natural flow, and wishes for the intervention of the state in both the market and individuals to be minimized to the lowest level. In essence, liberalism is a system that desires the state to be limited to the maximum extent, seeing the state as a tool to meet the needs of the individual and the community formed by individuals. Liberalism, a Western ideology, has a history in Türkiye that can be traced back to the Edict of Gülhane. Liberal ideas in Türkiye, which have tried to find their place at different levels in different periods, are unique and lack a widespread practical field compared to those in the West. The most influential period of liberalism in Türkiye, both politically and economically, corresponds to the post-1980 period. The era when liberalism reached its most popular point in Türkiye, both economically, politically, and intellectually, is considered to be the 1980s and afterwards. Journal of Liberal Thinking, which started publication in 1996 with the aim of discussing, introducing, and spreading liberal ideas, holds significant importance in terms of the manifestation of liberalism in Türkiye by approaching the social, political, and economic issues of Türkiye from a liberal perspective. The magazine, emerging from the Association for Liberal Thinking, which was informally established in 1992 with the aim of being a think tank and gained official status under an association in 1994, aims to provide solutions to the country's problems from a liberal perspective. The subject of this study is the Journal of Liberal Thinking. The aim of the study is to reveal the approach of the Journal of Liberal Thinking, especially after 2013, to political issues that have intensely occupied Türkiye's agenda and led to the division and fragmentation of liberals.
