Özet

Slope stability on open pit mining is a very important issue in terms of socioeconomic, environmental and economic factors. Stability problems, which are very likely to result in loss of life and property, have many causes. Beside there are lots of influencing factors in slope stability, the most important of these and one of the most influential on stability is groundwater. A good understanding of groundwater modelling and movement, relationship of groundwater with the rock and determining its effect on the slope are very important for the stability of the open pit mining slope. Finding and interpreting these data is not easy, and the margin of error may be high when data is available. In this thesis, the effect of groundwater on slope stability has been tried to be understood with limited data using Slide2, Slide3D and RS2 programs with limit equilibrium and numerical modelling approaches. The data analysed by using the parameters provided before by these programs were interpreted as 2D and 3D. In addition to deterministic, sensitivity and probabilistic analyses, instant dropdown analysis is also performed to understand the effect of changing water level. Slope stability, which is also analysed using Eurocode 7, is then tried to understand total displacement on slope by creating a numerical model via the RS2 software. Comparison of their results and, where necessary, remediations and suggestions are made
