Özet
Processus (proc.) styloideus os temporale, proc. mastoideus'un anteromedialinde bulunan uzun ve ince dikensi bir çıkıntıdır. Stylohyoid kompleks ise; proc. styloideus, os hyoideum'un cornu minus'u ve ligamentum (lig.) stylohyoideus tarafından oluşturulan yapıdır. Pek çok araştırmacı stylohyoid kompleksin baş iskeleti ile solunum-sindirim yolunun birleşimine, os hyoideum'un askıda durmasına ve hareketine katıldığı konusunda hemfikirdir. Stylohyoid kompleksin kalınlığı, uzunluğu ve şekli ise bireyler arasında farklılık gösterir. Bu değişikliğin sebeplerinden biri ise proc. styloideus ve os hyoideum'un morfometrik özellikleridir. Çalışmamızdaki amaç, proc. styloideus ve os hyoideum'un morfometrik açıdan ilişkisini incelemektir. Çalışmada yaş ortalaması 42,73 olan 85 kadın ve 95 erkek hastanın BT görüntüleri retrospektif olarak incelendi. Proc. styloideus ve os hyoideum'a ait morfometrik ölçümler yapıldı. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 24.0 programı ile analiz edildi. Analiz sonuçlarına göre, proc. styloideus'un uzunluğu ve açıları ile cinsiyet arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı belirlendi (p>0,05). Processus (proc.) styloideus os temporale is a long and thin spiny projection anteromedial to proc. mastoideus. The stylohyoid complex is formed by the proc. styloideus, the cornu minus of the os hyoideum and the ligamentum (lig.) stylohyoideus. Many researchers agree that the stylohyoid complex participates in the junction of the head skeleton and the respiratory-digestive tract, the suspension and movement of the os hyoideum. The thickness, length and shape of the stylohyoid complex varies among individuals. One of the reasons for this variation is the morphometric properties of proc. styloideus and os hyoideum. The aim of our study was to investigate the morphometric relationship between proc. styloideus and os hyoideum. CT images of 85 female and 95 male patients with a mean age of 42,73 years were analysed retrospectively. Morphometric measurements of proc. styloideus and os hyoideum were performed. The data obtained were analysed with SPSS 24.0 software. According to the results of the analysis, it was determined that there was no significant relationship between the length and angles of proc. styloideus and gender (p>0.05).
