Özet
Araştırmada ortaokul beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin matematiksel yetkinlik gelişim süreçleri bir eylem araştıması olarak incelenmiştir. Araştırmada Mills (2011)'in diyalektik eylem araştırması döngüsü iki kere tekrar edilmiş ve on altı hafta sürmüştür. Araştırmacının aynı zamanda uygulayıcı olarak görev yaptığı çalışma yirmi üç ortaokul beşinci sınıf öğrencisi ile yürütülürken araştırmacı günlüğü, dereceli puanlama anahtarı, gözlem formu, öğrenci ürün ve performansları, öğrenci değerlendirme sonuçları, saha notları video ve ses kayıtları, öğrenci ve veliler için yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları ile veriler toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda matematiksel yetkinliklerinde seçilen etkinliklerin, bireysel çalışmaya ayrılan sürenin, matematiksel çalışmalar yaptıkları araçların izlenmesi ve onlara verilen düzeltmelerin takibinin, öğrencilere çözüm yolu seçme ve savunma fırsatı verilmesinin matematiksel yetkinlik üzerinde olumlu etkisi olduğu; velilerin ve öğrencilerin matematiksel yetkinliğe, ödevi zorlanmadan tamamlama ve başarılı olma anlamı yükledikleri; döngü tekrarının öğrenci üzerinde olumlu etki yarattığı ve gelişim sağladığı belirlenmiştir.

In the study, mathematical competence development processes of elementary school fifth grade students were examined as an action research. In the study, Mills (2011)'s dialectical action research cycle was repeated twice and lasted for sixteen weeks. The researcher's diary, rubric, observation form, student products and performances, student evaluation results, field notes, video and audio recordings, semi-structured interview forms for students and parents were used in the study, in which the researcher also served as a practitioner, with twenty-three secondary school fifth grade students. Data were collected with As a result of the research, it was found that the activities chosen in their mathematical competencies, the time allocated for individual study, the tools they did mathematical studies, following the corrections given to them, and giving the students the opportunity to choose and defend a solution had a positive effect on mathematical competency; parents and students ascribe to mathematical competence the meaning of completing the homework without difficulty and being successful; It has been determined that repetition of the cycle has a positive effect on the student and provides development.
