Özet

ÖZET Bu çalışmanın içeriği, internet ortamında faaliyet gösteren bir danışmanlık merkezinin tasarlanması ve benzetim tekniği kullanılarak, hazırlanan bir senaryo gereği asansör imal eden bir firmaya danışmanlık hizmeti verilmesini kapsamaktadır. Sözkonusu firma olan Alfa Asansör AŞ. halen faaliyet göstermekte olup, fabrika içinde zaman/faaliyet, süreç/kapasite incelemeleri sonucunda elde edilen gerçek verilerin kullanılması ile benzetim modeli oluşturulmuştur. Fabrika içi üretim sürecinde benzetimin modellenmesinde faaliyet alanı daraltılarak yalnızca Asansör Dış Kabin imalat ve montaj süreci incelenmiş, asansörün inşaata montajı, ray, süspansiyon, motor ve kasnak üretimi bu tezin konusunun dışında tutulmuştur. Hazırlanan interaktif site, deneme maksatlı olarak off-line çalıştırılmış, tezin yayınlanmasını müteakip internette de http:Wwww.tripod.com. members\cgge\websim.htm adresinde yayınlanacaktır.

ABSTARCT This thessis concernes with four basic subjects. First, it presents a basic overwiew of“What simulation is”and“How it works”. Simulation must be able to model complex situations and decision making processes. It is essential to understand what simulation is actually doing. Simulation is an activity whereby one can draw conclusions about the behavior of given system by studying the behavior of a correspanding model whose cause- and-effect relationships are the same as those of the original. Simulation works by converting all activitiesto events and consequent reactions. These events are processed one at a time until the simulation ends. Simulation software cosist of several modules with which the user interfaces. Internally, model data is converted to simulation data which is processed during simulation. At the end of the simulation statistics are summarized in and output database that can be tabulated or graphed in various forms. Second, it describes the steps one must follow in applying the simulation methodology to solve real problems. It describes eight major phases for the proper application of simulation methodology, namely: Phase 1 : Define the problems. Phase 2 : Design the study. Phase 3 : Design the conseptual model. Phase 4 : Formulate, inputs assumptions and process definition. Phase 5 : Build, verify and validate the simulation model. Phase 6 : Experiment with the model and look for opportunities for design of experiments. Phase 7 : Documents and present the results.Phase 8 : Define the model life cycle. Although these phases are generally applied in sequance one may need to return to the previous phases due to changes in scope and objectives of the study. Third, it reveals the impact of internet solutions on business manegement. The internet is chandging the way that especially people in manufacturing organisations do business. Global access to people, data, software, documents, graphics, audio and video clips have allowed organisations to shorten the development cycle for new producys to communicate with experts from around the world, and to recieve immediate customer feedback. Lastly, it summeries some points on how to offer consulting service in modelling and simulation based on the extensive use of internet and the new communication tools that will be available everywhere in the near future, such as virtual environment, sound, videos, internet disturbuted simulation etc. In other words, a web-based modeling and simulation consulting service is a dialogue between client and consultant. Internet and the web are in process of changing most of our daily activities., including the way how consulting services in the field of modeling and simulation carried out. These changes will open new opportunities and new ways for modeling and simulation, together with new methodologies and new tools. In this sense, the thessis is somewhat anecdotal, and is meant to help simulation interested readers who are begining to explore the web, and possibly even simulation. An implementation of an elevator factory project can be identified a working prototype of the“web-based simulation and modeling consulting syatem”The construction of simulation models still requires a large degree of skill and spesialist knowledge. It is therefore reasonable to assume the involvement of a team of simulation and modeling analysts. Since few companies will have such team available on every site where they have factories, this team will usually need to be brought in either from the operational research departman, in a large organisation or from outside consultancy, in the case of most small firms. World Wide Web, provides a simulation system where users and analysts explore issues remotely, thereby avoiding the need for unnecessary travel and reducing costs, and hopefully time taken reach a solution.
