Özet
Otobiyografik metinler tek başlarına birer tarihi kitap olarak ele alınamazlar; ancak farklı kaynaklar ile karşılaşmalı bir analiz sonucu döneme ve kişilerin yaşantılarına dair detaylar sunabilirler. Bunlar çok değerli bir araştırma ve tartışma kaynağı ve benliğin yapısı ve becerileri, konunun doğası, dilin doğası, okuyucu ile yazar arasındaki ilişkiler ve bunların okuyucuyla olan ilişkileri hakkında çeşitli soruları gündeme getiren bir külliyat içerirler. 1980' li yıllardan itibaren Türkiye'de geçmişe ve kimliğe yönelik artan ilgi, anı, biyografi, otobiyografik roman, belgesel film ve televizyon dizisi gibi ürünlerin üretilme ve tüketilme sürecini tetiklemiş, sivil toplum kurumları ve akademisyenler de sözlü tarih ve bellek çalışmaları alanında projeler geliştirilmeye başlamışlardır. İş adamlarının birey ya da grup olarak yaşamları, ulusal ve uluslararası bağlamda ekonomik başarıya ışık tutmuş ve daha geniş kitlelerdeki algıları hakkında düşünmeye fırsat vermiştir. Modern burjuva dünyasının tanımlanması, incelenmesi ve yorumlanmasının bir aracı olarak biyografi, sanayi çağında sivil toplumun kurucu bir üyesi olarak iş adamının incelenmesini yenilemiştir. Geçmişten bugüne Türkiye iş dünyasının otobiyografik yolculuğu, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kuruluşundan itibaren, ülkenin ekonomik ve toplumsal yapısındaki önemli dönüşümlere tanıklık etmeyi sağlar.

Autobiographical texts cannot be considered as historical books on their own; They can only provide details about the period and people's lives as a result of an analysis that compares with different sources. They are an invaluable source of research and discussion and contain a corpus that raises a variety of questions about the structure and abilities of the self, the nature of the subject, the nature of language, the relationships between reader and writer, and their relationship to the reader. The increasing interest in the past and identity in Turkey since the 1980s has triggered the production and consumption of products such as memoirs, biographies, autobiographical novels, documentary films and television series, and non-governmental organizations and academics have begun to develop projects in the field of oral history and memory studies. . The lives of businessmen as individuals or groups have shed light on economic success in national and international contexts and given the opportunity to think about their perceptions among wider audiences. As a means of describing, examining and interpreting the modern bourgeois world, biography has renewed the examination of the businessman as a founding member of civil society in the industrial age. The autobiographical journey of the Turkish business world from past to present allows us to witness the important transformations in the economic and social structure of the country since the foundation of the Republic of Turkey.
