Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; girişimcilik odaklı STEM etkinliklerinin, yedinci sınıf öğrencilerinin girişimcilik becerilerine ve mühendislik algılarına etkisinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmada karma araştırma yöntemlerinden yakınsayan paralel desen kullanılmıştır. Çalışma, 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılında Iğdır ilinin Aralık ilçesine bağlı iki ayrı ortaokulda okumakta olan üç sınıfta toplam 53 7.sınıf öğrencileri ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubu 53 öğrenciden, iki sınıf (32 kişi) kontrol, bir sınıf (21 kişi) ise deney grubunu oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubunun seçiminde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Deney grubu ile öğretim programı kazanımları çerçevesinde girişimcilik odaklı STEM etkinliklerinin entegrasyonu ile ders işlenirken, kontrol grubu ile öğretim programına göre ders işlenmiştir. Çalışmada nitel ve nicel veri toplama araçları birlikte kullanılmıştır. Nicel veriler Deveci (2018b) tarafından geliştirilen“Fen Tabanlı Girişimcilik Ölçeği”kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Nitel veriler araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen“Yarı Yapılandırılmış Görüşme Formu”kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Bunun yanında, Mühendislik algısı için Knight ve Cunnigham (2004) tarafından geliştirilen“Bir Mühendis Çiz Testi”uygulanmıştır. Nicel verilerin analizinde bağımlı örneklemler t testi, bağımsız örneklemler t testi ve Mann Whitney U testi uygulanmıştır. Nitel verilerin analizinde ise içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın bulguları incelendiğinde, girişimcilik odaklı STEM etkinlikleriyle destekli öğrenim gören öğrencilerin girişimcilik becerilerine ilişkin puanlarında artış olduğu; girişimcilik ve mühendislik algılarında da gelişim meydana geldiği tespit edilmiştir.

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of entrepreneurship-focused STEM activities on seventh grade students' entrepreneurial skills and engineering perceptions. In the study, a convergent parallel design from mixed research methods was used. With this design, quantitative and qualitative data are collected simultaneously, these stages are kept separate from each other in the analysis part, and the data obtained as a result of the study are brought together in the interpretation stage. The study was conducted in the 2023-2024 academic year with a total of 53 7th grade students in three classes studying in two separate secondary schools in the Aralık district of Iğdır province. The study group, consists of 53 students, two classes (32 people) were control groups and one class (21 people) was the experimental group. constitutes. Convenience sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used in the selection of the study group. While the experimental group was taught the lesson with the integration of entrepreneurship-focused STEM activities within the framework of the curriculum, the control group was taught the lesson according to the curriculum. Quantitative data were obtained using the“Science-Based Entrepreneurship Scale”developed by Deveci (2018b). Qualitative data were collected using the“Semi-Structured Interview Form”developed by the researchers. In addition, the“Draw an Engineer Test”developed by Knight and Cunningham (2004) for engineering perception was also applied to the students. In this study, a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group was used to analyze quantitative and qualitative research data. Dependent samples t test, independent samples t test, and Mann Whitney U test were applied in the analysis of quantitative data. Content analysis method was used to analyze qualitative data. When the findings of the study were examined, it was determined that there was an increase in the entrepreneurial skills scores of the students who received education supported by entrepreneurship-focused STEM activities and an improvement in their perceptions of entrepreneurship and engineering.
