Özet
“Shin Yun-Bok'un Sanatında Mizah ve Gerçekçilik”adlı bu tez, Kore resim sanatında önemli bir yere sahip olan ve Hyewon takma adı ile de bilinen ressam Shin Yun-bok hakkındadır. Yüksek lisans tezi, ana konusu itibariyle Shin'in hayatı, resim anlayışı ve eserlerini, Geç Joseon döneminin gerçekliğiyle bağdaştırarak anlatma amacı taşımaktadır. Ayrıca ressamın yaşadığı döneme, tarihine, kültürüne, sanat tarihine, resim tarihine ve Shin ile aynı dönemde yaşamış olan bazı ressamların çalışma stillerine de kısaca yer verilerek yapılan çalışma desteklenmiştir. Ülkemizde, resim sanatı dahil, çeşitli bilim dalları içerisinde yapılmış çalışmalar göz önüne bulundurulduğunda Kore'nin hak ettiği değeri görmediğini söylemek mümkündür. Söz konusu eksiklik, bu yüksek lisans tezinin hazırlanmasındaki en büyük neden olmuştur. Yenilikçi, sakin ama coşku ve merak duygularını da ustaca uyandıran ressam, halkın gerçek yaşamını tanıtma amacıyla geleneklerine uymayan konularda eserler ortaya koymuştur. Meyhane tasvirleri, dans, bahar gezileri, aşıklar gibi konuların yanı sıra Shin'i öne çıkaran asıl konu kadın yaşamı olmuştur. Özellikle kisaeng kadınlarının resmedilmesi Kore'nin hiçbir alanında kullanılmayan bir konu iken Shin eserlerinde çoğunlukla bu kadınlara yer vermektedir. Kendine has tarzıyla Shin Yun-bok sadece döneminin resim sanatı içerisinde değil tüm Kore Resim Sanatının en önemli yapı taşlarından bir tanesi haline gelmiştir.

This master's thesis entitled“Humour and Reality in the Art of Shin Yun-Bok”is about the painter Shin Yun-bok, who holds an important place in Korean painting and is also known by the pseudonym Hyewon. The main theme of the thesis is to explain Shin's life, his understanding of painting, and his works in relation to the reality of the late Joseon period. In addition, the study was supported by a brief mention of the period, history, culture, art history, painting history and the working styles of some painters who lived in the same period as Shin. Considering the studies carried out in various branches of science in our country, including the art of painting, it is possible to say that Korea does not receive the value it deserves. This observed deficiency has been the biggest reason for the preparation of this master's thesis. Innovative, calm, but also skilfully arousing feelings of enthusiasm and curiosity, the painter created works on subjects that did not conform to their traditions to present the real life of the people. In addition to subjects such as tavern depictions, dancing, spring trips, and lovers, the main subject that brought Shin to the fore was women's life. While the depiction of kisaeng women is a subject that is not used in any field of Korea, Shin mostly includes these women in his works. With his unique style, Shin Yun-bok has become one of the most important cornerstones not only in the painting art of his period, but also in the entire Korean Painting Art.
