Even though the post-Soviet countries has tasted independence for 3 decades, they are still under the influence of Russia. However, the degree of dependence on Russia varies across the post-Soviet space. The war erupted between Russia and Ukraine in 2022 heavily affected the former USSR countries. Naturally, they took positions in accordance with their national interests. The UN Resolutions in 2014 and in 2022 show us the political position of the postSoviet countries with regard to Russo-Ukraine crisis. During the sessions of UN General Assembly, they voted differently. This research investigates factors that determine volatility of the political position of these countries regarding the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, namely the influence of Russia.
