Özet
ÖZET Sistem, ortak bir amaç için birarada bulunan etkileşimli parçalar topluluğu olarak tanımlanabilirken, diğer taraftan sistem düşüncesi temel olarak bu parçaların etkileşimi ve bağlantısını daha iyi anlamakla ilgilidir. Sistem düşüncesinin bu çalışmada ele alınan alt grupları aşağıda bulunmaktadır: - Sistem mühendisliği, - Sistem analizi, - Sistem dinamiği. Savunma stratejilerinin yapısı aşağıdaki alt-sistemleri kapsayan bir sistem oluşturmaktadır: - Strateji süreci, - Politik alt-sistem, - Ekonomi alt-sistemi, - Askeri alt-sistem. Sistem düşüncesi araçlarının lcullanılmasıyla savunma stratejileri için gerçek dünyanın karmaşıklık ve sorunlarının daha iyi anlaşılması ve çözümlenmesine yardım edebilecek bir model oluşturmak mümkün olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, ilk olarak, sistem ve sistem düşüncesinin alt-gruplannı kapsayan yöntemsel araçlar ile savunma stratejisinin kavramsal temelleri ele alınmıştır. Ardından, bir model oluşturma ve önerisinde bulunulmuştur. Bu tez, savunma stratejileri alanında modellemeye bir giriş olup, gelecek çalışmalar için temel oluşturmaktadır.

ABSTRACT As a system may be defined as a set of interrelated components working together toward some common objective, systems thinking, on the other hand, mainly deals with the better understanding of the interrelation and connection of those components. The following concepts are the subsets of systems thinking that are discussed in this study: - Systems engineering, - Systems analysis, - Systems dynamics. The structure of defense strategies constructs a system that has the following subsystems: - Strategy process, - Politics subsystem, - Economy subsystem, - Military subsystem. By using the systems thinking tools, it is possible to build a model, which helps better understanding and to solve the complexity and problems of the real world, for defense strategies. In this study, initially, the methodological tools, which include system and systems thinking subsets, and the conceptual bases of defense strategies, are handled. Then an attempt to build, and propose a model is made. This thesis is only an introduction to modeling in the field of defense strategies, and gives a basis for further studies.
