Özet
Siyer, Hz. Peygamber'in hayatını ihtiva ettiğinden dolayı tefsir, hadis, fıkıh ve kelâm gibi İslâm'ın temel bilimleri olmak üzere pek çok ilim dalı için kaynak olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bunlardan biri de tefsirdir. Geçmişten günümüze tefsir çalışmaları siyere dair pek çok malzeme bulundurmaktadır. Müfessirler ayetler arasındaki bağlantıyı, ayetlerin iniş sebeplerini, yaşanan olayların sonuçlarını anlayabilmek için siyere başvurmuştur. Bu iki alan arasındaki ilişki, Kur'ân ve Hz. Peygamber'in yaşamının anlaşılmasına yardımcı olmaktadır. Dolayısıyla siyer ve tefsir birbiriyle bağlantılıdır. Cumhuriyetin kuruluş dönemine şahitlik eden, Osmanlı geleneğinin son temsilcilerinden sayılan Ömer Nasuhi Bilmen de sekiz ciltten oluşan bir tefsir yazmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Bilmen'in tefsirinde yer verdiği siyer rivayetleri, tefsir ile tarih arasındaki ilişkinin örnekleri bağlamında incelenecek, O'nun Kur'ân ayetlerini açıklarken siyer bilgilerini nasıl kullandığı ve bu bilgilerin tefsirindeki metodolojik rolü ele alınacaktır. Bilmen, tefsirinde ayetleri açıklarken sık sık Hz. Peygamber'in hayatına, İslâm'ın ilk dönem olaylarına ve siyer rivayetlerine başvurur. Amacımız, Bilmen'in siyer rivayetlerini ne derece kullandığı, rivayetlerin tespiti ve bunları nasıl ele aldığını görebilmektir. Kullandığı siyer rivayetleri, özellikle Mekke ve Medine dönemlerine ait olaylar, gazveler, hicret, Hudeybiye Antlaşması gibi önemli tarihi hadiseler etrafında yoğunlaşır. Bilmen'in siyer rivayetlerini aktarırken genellikle klasik kaynaklara dayandığı, bazen de rivayetler arasında tercihte bulunduğu görülmektedir. Siyere olan yaklaşımı, doğrudan siyer üzerine yazdığı bir eser olmasa da çalışmalarında Hz. Peygamber'in hayatı ve siyerine dair sağladığı bilgi ve yorumlarla ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu sebeple tefsirinin tanınması, kullandığı siyer rivayetlerinin tespit edilmesi önemlidir. Bilmen'in, genel olarak İslâm tarihindeki temel eserlerle ve İslâm düşünce geleneği ile uyumlu bir perspektife sahip olduğu, siyer rivayetlerini tefsirinde ayetlerin nüzul sebebini açıklayıcı ve öğretici bir unsur olarak kullandığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Since sīrah encompasses the life of the Prophet, it is considered a valuable source for many branches of Islamic sciences, one of which is tafsīr. From past to present, tafsīr works have included numerous materials related to the sīrah. Exegetes have frequently turned to sīrah in order to understand the context of verses, the reasons for their revelation, and the consequences of the events described. The relationship between these two fields significantly contributes to a better understanding of both the Qur'an and the life of the Prophet Muhammad. Therefore, sīrah and tafsīr are inherently interconnected. Ömer Nasuhi Bilmen, who witnessed the early years of the Turkish Republic and is considered one of the last representatives of the Ottoman scholarly tradition, authored an eight-volume tafsīr. This study examines the use of sīrah riwayāt in Bilmen's tafsīr as examples of the relationship between exegesis and historical tradition. It explores how he used biographical information in his interpretation of the Qur'anic verses and the methodological role such information played in his work. Bilmen frequently refers to the Prophet's life, early Islamic events, and sīrah narratives when explaining verses. The aim of this study is to determine the extent to which Bilmen employed sīrah material, to identify the narrations he used, and to analyze how he incorporated them. The sīrah riwayāt used by Bilmen are particularly concentrated around significant historical events from the Meccan and Medinan periods, Hijrah, ghazwāt, and the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah. It is observed that Bilmen generally relied on classical sources when citing sīrah riwayāt, and occasionally exercised preference among differing reports. Although he did not write a separate work on sīrah, his tafsīr reveals his perspective on the Prophet's biography through the information and interpretations he provides. For this reason, analyzing Bilmen's tafsīr and identifying the sīrah narrations he utilized is essential. It is concluded that Bilmen's approach aligns with the major works of Islamic historiography and the traditional Islamic intellectual heritage. He uses sīrah narrations primarily as explanatory and didactic tools to clarify the reasons behind the revelation of certain Qur'anic verses.
