Özet

ÖZET İŞLETMELERİN PROFESYONEL YÖNETİME GEÇİŞ SÜRECİ VE GAZİANTEP SANAYİSİNDE UYGULAMA AKÇACI, Taner Yüksek Lisans Tezi, İktisat Anabilim Dalı Şubat, 2000, 217 sayfa İşletmelerin büyümesi, ve yapısının karmaşık bir hal alması, bu kuruluşların yönetimini zorlaştırmıştır. Ekonomik, teknolojik ve sosyal gelişmeler sonucu, işletme sahipleri ile yöneticileri ayrılmış ve yönetim başlı basma bir disiplin haline gelmiştir. İşletmelerin, mevcut iş ortamında ayakta durabilmeleri ve uzun vadede başarılı olabilmeleri için, var olan yönetim tekniklerinde değişiklikler yapmaları kaçınılmaz olmuştur. Yöneticilik görevi, işletmeyi ilgilendiren bütün konularda, geniş bir bilgi, bu bilgileri başarıyla uygulayabilecek iyi bir yetenek ve kazanılmış bir çok tecrübeyi gerektirir. Bütün bu açıklığa ve gerekliliğe rağmen, profesyonelleşme istenilen düzeyde gerçekleşmemektedir. Bu tezin amaa, işletmelerin profesyonel yönetime geçiş sürecini araştırmaktır. İşletmelerin başarılı olabilmeleri için, sistematik bir yönetim düzeninin oluşturulması, bu sistemin işletilmesinde profesyonel yöneticilere görev verilmesi, ve bilgi destek sistemlerinin etkin bir şekilde kullanılması gerekir. Bu tez, teorik ve uygulama olmak üzere iki ana kısımdan oluşmaktadır. Teorik kısım ise, iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, profesyonel yönetim, profesyonel yönetici ve örgütsel değişim hakkında kavramsal boyutla açıklamalar bulunmaktadır. İkinci bölümde, işletmeleri profesyonel yönetime yönelten faktörler, profesyonel yönetime geçiş sürecinde karşılaşılan güçlükler ve her aşamada oluşacak dirence karşı alınabilecek tedbirler üzerinde durulmaktadır. Tezin ikinci kısmı, Gaziantep Sanayi Bölgesindeki işletmelerin, profesyonel yönetime geçiş düzeyini belirlemeye yönelik hipotezlerin test edildiği uygulamalı bir çalışmayı kapsamaktadır. ABSTRACT A STUDY OF THE TRANSITION FROM OWNERSHIP TYPE OF MANAGEMENT TO PROFESSIONAL TYPE OF MANAGEMENT OF BUSINESSES AND AN APPLICATION OF THE STUDY TO AN INDUSTRIAL REGION OF GAZİANTEP By Taner AKÇACI M.A. in Economics Sciences Supervisor: Asist. Prof. Dr. Mehmet CİVAN February, 2000, 217 pages Development process and the complication of the businesses made the administration of the businesess a difficult task. As a result of the developments in economics, technology and society, the roles of the owners and the managers in the businesses have changed and the administration became a profession. For the businesses, to strive against present situation of the market and to become succesfull it is a must to follow and use the new techniques in the management and administration. Despite the fact that administration duty requires a great amount of knowledge concerning almost all the subjects of administration, and a great ability and experience to put these knowledge into practice, professionalism in administration has not yet been existed. The main objective of the present work is to study the process of transition from ownership type of management to professional type of management for middle sized businesses. Success of the most businesses depends on some factors such as; setting up a systematic administration diagram, employing professional administrators to make the systematic administration work effectively, and using information and knowledge databases effectively for the dynamic future of the business. The present study consists of theoretical and applications sections. The theoretical section is further divided into two subsections. The first one is about professional management, professional manager and organizational change. The second subsection consists of the factors which forces the bussinesses to change from ownership type of management to professional type of management, difficulties which happens during the transition between the two types of managament, and the precautions which needs to be taken against the resistances likely to occur during the transition stage. The second main section of the study contains an application of the idea of transition from ownership type of management to professional type of management to some of the businesses in the industrial region of Gaziantep.
