Özet

Bu akademik çalışma, felsefe ile edebiyat arasındaki ilişkiyi temel alarak, din felsefesinin temel sorunlarının Cengiz Aytmatov'un romanlarında nasıl işlendiğini inceler. Çalışmanın ana tezi; edebî anlatının, özellikle romanların, felsefî kavramları soyut düzlemden çıkarıp insan deneyiminin somut gerçekliği içinde bütüncül bir şekilde sunarak felsefî düşünceye özgün bir alan açtığıdır. Metodolojik çerçeve olarak, rasyonel analize odaklanan analitik geleneğin aksine, insan deneyimini ve yorumu merkeze alan kıta felsefesi benimsenmiştir. Bu bağlamda Cengiz Aytmatov'un metinlerindeki felsefî derinliğe nüfuz etmek için fenomenoloji, hermenötik ve varoluşçuluktan bütüncül bir yaklaşımla yararlanılmıştır. Teorik zemin ise roman türünün felsefî diyalog için elverişli yapısını vurgulamış ve Aytmatov'u Dostoyevski, Sartre ve Camus gibi varoluşçu yazarların oluşturduğu küresel gelenek içinde konumlandırarak karşılaştırmalı bir bağlam sunmuştur. Analiz bölümü, Aytmatov'un görüşlerinin din felsefesi sorunlarına getirdiği özgün yorumları ortaya koymuştur. Yazarın, anlam yitimi ve yabancılaşmayı“mankurtlaşma”metaforuyla kavramsallaştırdığı; Tek Tanrı düşüncesinin yanında dinî inancı, İslam, Şamanizm ve doğa kutsallığını birleştiren senkretik bir maneviyatla işlediği saptanmıştır. Ayrıca kötülüğü insanın eylemlerine bağladığı, kader ve özgürlük arasındaki gerilimi karakterlerinin ahlakî seçimleriyle somutlaştırdığı ve ölümsüzlüğü kolektif hafıza ile toprağa bağlılık olarak tanımladığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu temalar, fenomenolojik ve hermenötik yöntemlerle sentezlenerek, yazarın felsefî mesajını hem kişisel bir“yaşantı”hem de tarihsel bir“tanıklık”olarak kurduğu gösterilmiştir. Sonuç olarak bu tez, Cengiz Aytmatov'un romanlarının, din felsefesinin en soyut problemlerini dahi insan ruhunun somut gerçekliğine taşıyan güçlü felsefî soruşturmalar olduğunu ortaya atmıştır. Çalışma, edebiyatın felsefî düşünce için vazgeçilmez bir alan olduğunu teyit ederken, Batı kanonu dışından bir yazarın evrensel felsefe diyaloğuna yaptığı özgün katkıyı sergileyerek alana yeni bir perspektif sunmaktadır.

This academic study, based on the relationship between philosophy and literature, examines how the fundamental problems of the philosophy of religion are addressed in the novels of Chingiz Aitmatov. The central argument of the study is that literary narrative opens up a unique domain for philosophical thought by removing philosophical concepts from the abstract plane and presenting them within the concrete reality of human experience. As a methodological framework, continental philosophy, which centers on human experience and interpretation, has been adopted, in contrast to the Analytic tradition that focuses on rational analysis. In this context, phenomenology, hermeneutics, and existentialism have been used with a holistic approach to explore the philosophical depths of Aitmatov's texts. The theoretical ground, in turn, has highlighted the conducive nature of the novel genre for philosophical dialogue and has provided a comparative context by positioning Aytmatov within the global tradition of existentialist writers such as Dostoevsky and Camus. The analysis of the thesis section has revealed Aitmatov's unique interpretations of the problems of philosophy of religion. It has been determined that he conceptualized the loss of meaning and alienation through the metaphor of“mankurtization”; that he dealt with belief in God not in a dogmatic framework but through a syncretic spirituality combining Islam, Shamanism, and the sanctity of nature. Furthermore, it has been identified that he attributed evil to human actions, embodied the tension between fate and freedom through the moral choices of his characters, and defined immortality as a connection to collective memory and the land. These themes were then synthesized through phenomenological and hermeneutical methods, demonstrating how the author constructed his philosophical message as both a personal“lived experience”and a historical“testimony.”In conclusion, this dissertation has proven that Chingiz Aitmatov's novels are powerful philosophical inquiries that bring even the most abstract problems of the philosophy of religion into the concrete reality of the human soul. While affirming that literature is an indispensable domain for philosophical thought, the study offers a new perspective to the field by showcasing the unique contribution of an author from outside the Western canon to the universal philosophical dialogue.
