Özet
Bu çalışma, Kur'ân'da yer alan helâk ayetleri bağlamında kötülük problemini tefsir ilmi perspektifinden incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Kötülük problemi, ilâhî adalet, hikmet ve insan sorumluluğu gibi temel itikadî meselelerle doğrudan ilişkili olup, Kur'ân kıssalarında aktarılan helâk anlatıları bu problemin anlaşılmasına önemli bir zemin sunmaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada, helâk olgusunun Kur'ân'da yalnızca tarihsel bir yıkım anlatısı olarak değil, insanın ahlâkî tercihleri, toplumsal fesat ve ilâhî sınırların ihlaliyle bağlantılı bir ilâhî müdahale biçimi olarak nasıl ele alındığı ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi benimsenmiş; ilgili ayetler klasik tefsir kaynakları ışığında analiz edilmiştir. Özellikle Nûh, Âd, Semûd, Lût, Medyen ve Ashâbü'l-Eyke kavimlerine dair helâk ayetleri, kötülük problemi çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiştir. Bu inceleme sürecinde, helâkin keyfî bir cezalandırma olmadığı; bilakis inkâr, zulüm ve ahlâkî bozulmanın süreklilik kazanması sonucunda ilâhî adalet bağlamında gerçekleştiği tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada ulaşılan bulgular, Kur'ân'daki helâk anlatılarının kötülük problemini ilâhî hikmet ve insan sorumluluğu ekseninde anlamlandırmaya imkân sunduğunu göstermektedir. Buna göre kötülük, mutlak ve sebepsiz bir olgu olarak değil; insan iradesiyle ilişkili bir imtihan alanı olarak sunulmakta, helâk ise bu sürecin nihai bir sonucu olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bu yönüyle helâk ayetleri, ilâhî adaletin tecellisini ve insanın ahlâkî sorumluluğunu vurgulayan evrensel bir uyarı niteliği taşımaktadır.

This study aims to examine the problem of evil within the context of the Qur'ānic verses of destruction (halāk) from the perspective of the science of tafsīr. The problem of evil is directly related to fundamental theological issues such as divine justice, wisdom, and human responsibility, and the destruction narratives conveyed in Qur'ānic stories provide an important framework for understanding this problem. In this context, the study seeks to demonstrate that the phenomenon of destruction in the Qur'ān is not presented merely as a historical account of ruin, but rather as a form of divine intervention closely connected to human moral choices, social corruption, and the violation of divine limits. The research adopts a qualitative methodology, and the relevant verses are analyzed in the light of classical tafsīr sources. In particular, the destruction verses concerning the peoples of Noah, ʿĀd, Thamūd, Lot, Midian, and the Companions of the Thicket (Ashāb al-Aykah) are examined within the framework of the problem of evil. Through this analysis, it is determined that destruction is not an arbitrary act of punishment; rather, it occurs within the context of divine justice as a consequence of persistent disbelief, oppression, and moral corruption. The findings of the study indicate that the destruction narratives in the Qur'ān allow the problem of evil to be understood through the axes of divine wisdom and human responsibility. Accordingly, evil is not presented as an absolute or causeless phenomenon, but as a field of trial closely related to human free will, while destruction is evaluated as the ultimate outcome of this process. In this respect, the verses of destruction function as a universal warning that emphasizes the manifestation of divine justice and the moral responsibility of human beings.
