Özet
Çalışmanın amacı; Akdeniz Bölgesi'nde turizm faaliyetlerine katılan bireylerin rekreasyon deneyim tercihlerinin, destinasyona yönelik geliştirdikleri yer bağlılığı ve çevresel tutumları aracılığıyla“çevre dostu rekreasyon davranışı”sergileme eğilimleri üzerindeki etkisini yapısal bir model çerçevesinde analiz etmektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Akdeniz Bölgesi'nde turizm faaliyetlerine katılan yerli turistler oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem seçiminde, destinasyonların farklı rekreasyonel olanaklara sahip olması (kıyı turizmi, doğa turizmi ve kültürel miras alanları) dikkate alınarak amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Çalışmanın güvenilirliğini ve istatistiksel gücünü artırmak amacıyla, veri toplama süreci sonucunda toplam 605 katılımcıdan elde edilen geçerli veriler analize dahil edilmiştir. Çalışmanın verilerinin toplanmasında katılımcıların; Rekreasyon Deneyim tercih düzeylerini belirlemek için“Rekreasyon Deneyim Tercihi Ölçeği”, Yer Bağlılığı düzeylerini ölçmek için“Yer Bağlılığı Ölçeği”, Çevresel Tutum ve Çevre Dostu Rekreasyon davranışını ölçmek için ise“Çevresel Tutum ve Çevre Dostu Rekreasyon Davranışını”ölçeğinden ve sosyodemografik bilgi formundan faydalanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Araştırma kapsamında kullanılan ölçeklerden elde edilen veriler farklılık analizlerinin yapılması için bilgisayar ortamına girilerek SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 27.00 programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada hipotezlerin test edilmesi için Kısmi En Küçük Kareler yöntemi ile yapısal eşitlik modelinin tahmini (PLS-SEM) Smart PLS 3 istatistik programı kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak gerçekleştirilen test ve analizler neticesinde araştırma sonuçları, turistlerin rekreasyonel deneyim tercihlerinin, destinasyona yönelik yer bağlılığı ile doğrudan ilişkili olduğunu ve bu bağın çevresel tutumları çevre dostu davranışlara dönüştürmede kritik bir 'köprü' işlevi gördüğünü kanıtlamaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular, 'Tutum-Davranış Boşluğunun, turistlerin mekanla kurduğu duygusal ve işlevsel bağın derinliği ile kapatılabileceğini göstermektedir.

The aim of this study is to analyze, within a structural model framework, the impact of recreation experience preferences of individuals participating in tourism activities in the Mediterranean Region on their tendency to exhibit“environmentally friendly recreation behavior”through their place attachment and environmental attitudes towards the destination. The sample of the study consists of domestic tourists participating in tourism activities in the Mediterranean Region. Purposive sampling was chosen in sample selection, taking into account the diverse recreational opportunities offered by the destinations (coastal tourism, nature tourism, and cultural heritage sites). To increase the reliability and statistical power of the study, valid data obtained from a total of 605 participants were included in the analysis. The data for the study were collected using the“Recreation Experience Preference Scale”to determine participants' recreation experience preference levels, the“Place Attachment Scale”to measure their place attachment levels, and the“Environmental Attitude and Environmentally Friendly Recreation Behavior”scale to measure their environmental attitudes and environmentally friendly recreation behavior, along with a sociodemographic information form. In the analysis of the data, the data obtained from the scales used in the research were entered into a computer environment for difference analyses and analyzed using the SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 27.00 program. For the testing of hypotheses in the research, the Partial Least Squares method and structural equation model estimation (PLS-SEM) were performed using the Smart PLS 3 statistical program. As a result of the tests and analyses performed, the research results prove that tourists' recreational experience preferences are directly related to their place attachment to the destination, and that this attachment serves as a critical 'bridge' in transforming environmental attitudes into environmentally friendly behaviors. The findings show that the 'Attitude-Behavior Gap' can be closed by the depth of the emotional and functional connection that tourists establish with the place.
