Özet
Dil, insan ve felsefenin ayrılmaz bir parçasıdır. Dilin gündelik yaşamda kullanım biçimlerini tanımlayan Wittgenstein'ın dil oyunları kavramını ve ikna etme sürecinin toplumsal ölçekteki gücünü tanımlayan Gorgias'ın retoriğini birlikte okumak, dili çözümlemeye olanak sağlayacaktır. Bu doğrultuda çalışmamızın amacı, retoriğin dil oyunlarındaki işlevini belirlemektir. Araştırmada ilk olarak kullanılan kavramlar hakkında yerli ve yabancı kaynaklarda literatür taraması yapılarak kuramsal yapı oluşturulmuştur. Sonrasında kavramlar arasındaki bağlantılar oluşturulmuştur. Kavramlar arasında kurulan bağlantı ile tarihteki bazı olaylardan ve örgütlenmiş yapılardan örnekler verilmiştir. Araştırmada seçilen cümlelerin içerisinde farklı dil oyunlarından kelimelerin bulunması ve ikna etmeye çalıştığı kitleler üzerindeki etkileri analiz edilmiştir. Analizlerden elde edilen verilere göre retoriğin dil oyunlarının üzerinde etkisinin olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Language is an inseparable part of humanity and philosophy. Examining together Wittgenstein's concept of language games, which describes the ways language is used in everyday life, and Gorgias' rhetoric, which conceptualizes the power of the persuasion process on a social scale, will provide an opportunity to analyze language. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to determine the function of rhetoric within language games. First, a theoretical framework was established by conducting a literature review of Turkish and international sources regarding the concepts used in the research. Subsequently, connections between these concepts were established. Based on these intersections, examples were drawn from certain historical events and organized structures. The study analyzed the presence of words from different language games within the selected sentences and examined their effects on the audiences they sought to persuade. According to the data obtained from the analyses, it was concluded that rhetoric exerts a significant influence on language games.
