Özet
Bu çalışma, acı kavramının çocuk bedeni üzerinden temsilini etik ve estetik bağlamda incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Modern dünyada medyadaki yoğun dolaşımı sebebiyle acı; savaş, yoksulluk ve sömürü yönüyle gündelik hayattaki sıradan görüntüler haline gelmekte; tekrar eden bu görüntüler zamanla izleyici üzerindeki etkilerini yitirmektedir. Duygu yoğunluğu yüksek bu imgelerin sürekli dolaşıma girmesi, acının görünürlüğünü artırmakla birlikte etkisini azaltmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın temel problemi, dijital yeniden üretim ve simülasyon çağında seyirlik bir nesneye dönüşen acı kavramının sanat aracılığıyla nasıl yeniden bir farkındalık alanına dönüştürülebileceği sorusu etrafında şekillenmektedir. Bu çalışma, resim sanatı odağında acı kavramının temsilini incelerken, çocuk figürlerini acının yoğunluğunu yansıtan birer temsil aracı olarak ele almaktadır. Çocuk figürleri, kırılganlıkları ve savunmasızlıkları nedeniyle acının etik ve estetik boyutlarını daha belirgin biçimde görünür kılabilecek örnekler olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Araştırmada çocuk figürleri başlı başına çalışmanın konusu değil, acının temsiline aracılık eden bir unsur olarak konumlandırılmaktadır. Çalışma, acı kavramının tarihsel süreç içerisinde resim sanatındaki temsillerini ve bu kavram etrafında üretilmiş tartışmaları incelemeyi hedeflemektedir. Çalışmanın son bölümünde yer alan sanatçı çalışmaları, belgesel nitelik taşıyan fotoğraflardan yola çıkılarak üretilmiş; sıcak ve canlı bir renk paleti aracılığıyla, zamanla sıradanlaşan bu görsellerde kaybolan etkiyi artırmayı ve izleyicide farkındalık yaratmayı amaçlamaktadır.

This study aims to examine the representation of the concept of pain through the child's body within ethical and aesthetic contexts. In the modern world, due to its intense circulation in the media, pain, in terms of war, poverty, and exploitation, becomes ordinary images of everyday life; these recurring images lose their impact on the viewer over time. The constant circulation of these images with high emotional intensity increases the visibility of pain while reducing its effect. The main problem of this study is shaped around the question of how the concept of pain, which has turned into an object of spectacle in the age of digital reproduction and simulation, can be transformed again into a field of awareness through art. While this study examines the representation of the concept of pain with a focus on the art of painting, it considers child figures as representational tools that reflect the intensity of pain. Due to their fragility and defenselessness, child figures are evaluated as examples that can make the ethical and aesthetic dimensions of pain more clearly visible. In the research, child figures are not positioned as the subject of the study in themselves, but rather as an element that mediates the representation of pain. The study aims to examine the representations of the concept of pain in the art of painting throughout the historical process and the discussions produced around this concept. The artist's works included in the final section of the study were produced based on documentary photographs; through a warm and vivid color palette, they aim to increase the effect that has been lost in these images, which have become ordinary over time, and to create awareness in the viewer.
