Özet
Tezde, muhafazakâr ideolojinin antik dönemde düşünsel kökenlerinin ve öncülünün olup olmadığı sorusu cevaplandırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu bağlamda muhafazakâr ideolojinin öncülünün bulunduğu ve Aristoteles'in ahlak ve siyaset felsefesinin bununla bazı bağlantılarının olduğu önermesinden hareket edilerek literatüre katkı sağlanması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma sürecinde gerek muhafazakâr ideoloji ile ilgili literatür taranmış gerekse de Aristoteles'in muhtelif konulardaki felsefi eserleri okunmuştur. Elde edilen notlar kategorize edilmiş, siyaset felsefesinin ana kavramlarından oluşturulan bir kavram seti çerçevesinde gerek muhafazakâr ideolojinin gerekse de Aristoteles'in argümanları karşılaştırmalı bir yöntemle incelenmiş, söz konusu argümanlar toplumsal tarihe ilişkin genel olgularla birlikte değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Sonuçta, muhafazakâr ideoloji ile Aristoteles'in ahlak ve siyaset felsefesi arasında oldukça önemli düzeyde bağlantılar olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu nedenle ideolojinin düşünsel kökenlerinin antik döneme kadar gidebildiği ve bu bağlamda ideolojinin bir düşünce olarak öncülünün bulunduğu önermesi güçlenmiş, muhafazakârlığın evrensel bir düşünce geleneği olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

This thesis attempts to answer the question of whether conservative ideology has intellectual origins and precursor in antiquity. In this context, the aim is to contribute to the literature by premising that conservative ideology has antecedent and Aristotle's moral and political philosophy has some connections with it. During the research, the literature on conservative ideology was reviewed and Aristotle's philosophical works on various topics were read. The notes obtained were categorized, both the arguments of conservative ideology and Aristotle's were examined using a comparative method within a set of concepts formed from the main concepts of political philosophy, and the arguments were evaluated together with general facts related to social history. In conclusion, it has been determined that there are significant connections between conservative ideology and Aristotle's moral and political philosophy. Therefore, the premise that the intellectual origins of ideology can be traced back to antiquity and ideology has a precursor as a thought has been strengthened, leading to the conclusion that conservatism is a universal intellectual tradition.
