Özet
ÖZET Bu araştırma, Kız Meslek Liseleri El Sanatları Teknolojisi Bölümü öğrencilerinin atölye donanımı ve ekonomik açıdan karşılaştıkları sorunları ve öğrenci başarısına etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma evrenini Ankara İli Büyükşehir Belediyesi sınırlarında yer alan Kız Meslek Liseleri El Sanatları Teknolojisi Bölümü, ömeklemini ise 2000- 2001 Eğitim-Öğretim Yılında görev yapmakta olan 41 öğretmen ve 158 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada öğretmen ve öğrencilerin görüşlerini alabilmek amacıyla anket tekniği kullanılmıştır. Anketler kişisel bilgiler, atölye donanımında karşılaşılan sorunlar ve ekonomik açıdan karşılaşılan sorunlar ile atölye donanımı ve ekonomik açıdan karşılaşılan sorunların öğrenci başarısına etkisi olmak üzere 5 bölümden oluşmuştur. Elde edilen veriler SPSS paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarım yorumlamak için verilerin analizinde frekans, yüzde, ki-kare ve anlamlılık düzeyinden yararlanılmıştır.Araştırmada aşağıdaki bulgular elde edilmiştir. Atölyedeki araçların günümüz teknolojisine cevap vermediği eski olduğu konusunda“ Büyük Ölçüde ”sorun yaşandığı ve aynı oranda öğrenci başarısını etkilediği anlaşılmıştır. Atölyedeki ışıklandırma ve ısıtma gibi ergonomik faktörlerin sorun yarattığı ve öğrencilerin başarısını“ Kısmen ”etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Atölyelerin büyüklüğünün ve makinaların öğrenci sayısı ile orantılı olması ile atölyede yer alması gereken araçların öğrenciler tarafından temin edilmesi konusunda“ Kısmen ”sorun yaşandığı ve öğrenci başarısını da aynı oranda etkilediği anlaşılmıştır.Atölye ortamının sağlık koşullarını ve grup çalışması yapmaya“ Kısmen ”uygun olduğu, öğrencilerin atölyede rahat çalışma olanağına sahip olması ve teorik olarak verilen bilgileri uygulayabilmede“ Kısmen ”yeterli olduğu, bu durumunda öğrencilerin başarısını aynı oranda olumsuz etkilediği anlaşılmıştır. Atölyede bilgisayar destekli tasarımlar yapılmadığı, ışıklı masa bulunmadığı saptanırken, araçların niteliksiz oluşunun yapılan ürünlerin basit oluşunda“ Büyük Ölçüde ”etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ders araç-gereç fiyatlarının pahalı, olduğu araç-gereç listesinin sık sık değiştiği öğrencinin kullandığı malzemeyi diğer üründe kullanma imkanına sahip oluşu ve bozulan makinaların parçalarının öğrenciler tarafından temin edilmesi konusunda“ Büyük Ölçüde ”sorun yaşandığı saptanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin ekonomik zorluk çeken öğrencilere karşı duyarsız davranmasının öğrencilerin derse olan ilgisini azaltarak başarılarını“ Büyük Ölçüde”olumsuz etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Okulun öğrencilere“ Kısmen ”yardımda bulunduğu saptanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin tutumlarının öğrencilerin başarısında oldukça etkili olduğu araştırma verilerinden anlaşılmıştır. Okula harcana paraların sosyal etkinliklere katılımı kısıtladığı konusunda“Kısmen ”sorun yaşandığı saptanmıştır. Bölümün diğer alanlara göre daha masraflı olduğu ve yapılan ürünlerin okulda kalmasının öğrencilerin başarısını“Büyük Ölçüde ”olumsuz etkilediği ve kaliteyi düşürdüğü görülmüştür. 11 T.C

ABSTRACT This research has been carried out in order to identity the problems the students in the female Vocational High Schools Handicraft Technologies Department encounter in terms of workshop equipment, and economiy, and how these problems influence students' succes. The scope of this study is limited to the Female Vocational High Schools Handicraft Technologies Departments within the borders of the Municipilatiy of Ankara. The subject participants have been 41 teachers on duty in 200-2001 Educational Year and 158 students. In order to obtain the opinions of both teachers and students a questionnaire technique has been applied. These questionnaires consist of five parts, namely: personal information, problems encountered related to workshop equipment, economic problems, and the effect of these problems on students' academic success. The data obtained have been analysed in SPSS package programme. In order to interpret the obtained data, in the analysis process“ Frequency ”, % ( percentage )“ Chi square ”, and meaning fullness level have been ezploited the following results have been foun out:It has been understood that the present workshop equipment doesn't satisfy the requirements, is obsolote, frequently breaks down, creates extensive problems in terms of producing the products in time, and negatively influences students' academic success. It has been found out that some ergonomic factors, such as lighting and heating, create problems and partly effect students' success. It has also been noted that the largeness of the workshops, the proportion of machines to the number of the students, and the fact that some essential tools which must be present in the workshops have to be brought by students, have all created difficulties and influenced students' success accordingly. mIt has also been underlined that workshop environment is partially suitable for group-work as regards health, and that students have the facility to study comfortably in the workshop, and their theoretical studies enables them to work there to a limited extent. This case has negative impact on the students' success. Furthermore, no computer-assisted designs are made, no lightened tables are araible, and the poor quality tools leads, to a great extent, the simplicity of products made there the cost of workshop tools and devices is quite high, the list of these tools and devices always changes, students might use some materials infor the making of other products, and students have great difficulty in substituting for some parts of the machines broken down. All these factors create a negative result of students' success. It has been observed that some teachers are indifferent to poor students, which decreases their interest in the lesson and greatly reduces their success. The school partially gives financial support to some students. From the data obtained it has been interpreted that teachers' attitudes towards students is quite effective on the success of the latter. It has also been noted that the money spent on school requeriments has reduced participation of students into social activities. The expenses of this department are higher than that in others, and some products remain unsold, which influences students' success negatively and decreases their quality.
