Özet

ÖZET Bu araştırma, alt ve orta sosyoekonomik düzeydeki Lise 2. sınıf öğrencilerinin, ailede çocuk istismarı ve ihmaline yönelik algılarını ortaya koyabilmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu amaca ulaşabilmek için literatürde“istismar ve/veya ihmal”olarak kabul edilen ebeveyn davranışlarının, lise öğrencileri tarafından nasıl ve ne oranda algılandığı saptanmıştır. Ülkemiz koşullarında, ailede çocuk istismarı ve ihmalini önleyebilmek için uygulanabilecek çözüm yollarının lise öğrencileri tarafından ne derece işlevsel olarak düşünüldüğünün saptanması da çalışmanın diğer bir amacıdır. İstismar, ihmal ve çözüm yollarına yönelik tüm bu algıların da öğrencilerin cinsiyetleri, sosyoekonomik düzeyleri, bu güne dek herhangi bir istismar ya da ihmale maruz kalıp kalmadıkları ve okul dışında herhangi bir işte çalışıp çalışmamalarına göre bir farklılık gösterip göstermediği de araştırmada incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri, orta sosyoekonomik bölgelerde olan 50. Yıl Lisesi, Kanuni Lisesi ve İncesu Lisesi'ndeki Lise 2. sınıf öğrencileri ile, alt sosyoekonomik bölgelerde olan Elmadağ Lisesi, Gülveren Lisesi ve Yıldırım Beyazıt Lisesi'ndeki lise 2. sınıf öğrencilerinden elde edilmiştir. Araştırma toplam 424 öğrenci üzerinde yapılmıştır. Söz konusu veriler, araştırmacı tarafindan geliştirilen anket formu ve kişisel bilgi formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizleri için SPSS paket programı kullanılrnıştır. Araştırmada, yanıtların tüm grup tarafından istismar-ihmal / istismar değil-ihmal değil olarak yanıtlayan bağımsız değişkenlere ve çözüm yollarının uygun bulunup bulunmamasına göre grupları oluşturan öğrencilerin frekansları ve yüzdeleri hesaplanmış; daha sonra grupları oluşturan öğrencilerin sayılan aralarındaki farkın istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olup olmadığını değerlendirebilmek için ki-kare analiz testi yapılmıştır.11 Yapılan analizler sonucunda, öğrencilerin genel anlamda istismar ve ihmalin ne olduğuna ilişkin bilgileri olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Bununla birlikte erkeklerin kızlara, alt sosyoekonomik düzeydeki öğrencilerin orta sosyoekonomik düzeydekilere, istismara maruz kalanların kalmayanlara ve çalışanların çalışmayanlara göre istismar ve ihmal konusundaki bakış açılarının daha sınırlı olduğu dikkati çekmiştir. Öğrencilerin istismarın ve ihmalin türüne ilişkin yaptıkları sınıflamada da kimi zaman yetersiz kalabildikleri görülmüştür. Araştırma bulguları, aile içi çocuk istismarı ve ihmaliyle ilgili daha önce yapılmış araştırmaların bulgularıyla birlikte tartışılıp yorumlanmış ve bulgular doğrultusunda geleceğe yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Ill SUMMARY This research has been performed in order to express the perceptions of high school (second grade) students of lower and middle socio-economic class, related to the child abuse/exploitation and negligence within the family. To achieve this aim, how and in what ratios do the high school students perceive the parent behavior accepted as“abuse/exploitation and/or negligence”in literature, is defined. Another object of the research is to define whether the high school students think the solutions which can be used to prevent child abuse/exploitation and negligence within the family, is functional or not according to the conditions of our country. Whether these perceptions of abuse/exploitation-negligence and solutions vary or not according to the sex of the students, their socio-economic levels, their being exposed to abuse/exploitation or negligence up to now and their job, is also examined. Data of the research are collected from second grade students at 50. Yd High School, Kanuni High School and İncesu High School which are located in middle socio-economic areas and from second grade students in Elmadağ High School, Gülveren High School and Yıldırım Beyazıt High School located in lower socio economic areas. The research has been done about 424 students. Mentioned data are collected by using questionnaire form and individual information form developed by the researcher. SPSS package program is utilized for the statistical analysis of the data obtained during the research. First, the frequencies and ratios of the students, who form the groups according to the independent variables being answered as abuse/exploitation-negligence / not abuse/exploitation-not negligence by the whole group and according to the relevance of solutions, are calculated and after that chi- square analysis test is applied to evaluate whether the difference between the number of students forming the groups is statistically significant or not.IV As a consequence of the analyses, students know what abuse and neglect towards children in a family means. In addition to this, the aspect of the boys, the students in lower socio-economic level, the abused children, working children have been limited and insufficient in proportion to those of the girls, middle socio economic level, non-abused children, non-working children at the and of the research. It has been reached that these students preceive the abuse and neglect as a natural parental behaviour. The clasification of the students regarding the types of the abuse and neglect, has sometimes remaind insufficient. Research findings are discussed and commented together with the findings of the earlier researches on child abuse/exploitation and negligence within the family and in the light of the mentioned findings, suggestions for the future are put forward.
