ÖZET Yüksek Lisans Tezi TARİHSEL SÜREÇ İÇİNDE TÜRKİYE'DE KENT PARKLARININ OLUŞUMU (CUMHURİYET DÖNEMİ KENT PARKLARI) Nilüfer GÜNDÜZ Ankara Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Peyzaj Mimarlığı Anabilim Dalı Danışman: Prof. Dr. Yalçın Memluk Bu çalışmada Türkiye'de Cumhuriyet'in İlanı'ndan itibaren 1945'li yıllara kadar farklı dönemlerde yapılmış kent parklarının özellikleri, bilgi, belge ve doküman olarak ortaya konulmuştur. Bu incelemeler, ulaşılabildiği oranda Türkiye'deki kent parklarının proje müellifleri, yapım tarihleri, aşamaları, kullanımları, maliyetleri, büyüklükleri gibi sayısal bilgilerle plan, perspektif, resim ve benzeri unsurlara dayalı olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Böylece ait oldukları dönemleri anlatan ve bu dönemleri geleceğe de aktaran kalıcı kent parkları hakkında mevcut olan tüm bilgiler dokümantasyon niteliğinde bütünleştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye'de kısa sürede yok olmaya başlayan dokümantasyon olgusunun peyzaj mimarlığı disiplinini ilgilendiren bir bölümüne katkıda bulunmaktır. Ayrıca dönemlerinin tasarım anlayışlarım, yapım ve bakım olgularını ve bu olgulardaki gelişimi ya da günümüzde gelinen yeri belirlemek de çalışmanın amaçlan arasında yer almaktadır. Bu tarihi bilgi, belge ve dokümanların ileride Bahçe ve Peyzaj Sanatı Tarihi ile ilgili çalışma yapmak isteyenlere, önemli ölçüde katkıda bulunması da çalışmada amaçlanan diğer bir hedeftir. 2002, 277 sayfa

ABSTRACT Master Thesis THE FORMATION OF URBAN PARKS IN TURKEY IN HISTORICAL PROCESS (URBAN PARKS OF THE REPUBLIC TIME) Nilüfer GÜNDÜZ Ankara University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Landscape Architecture Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Yalçm Memluk This study delineates and documents the characteristics of the city parks that were constructed in different periods since the establishment of the Republic of Turkey until 1945. These researches were conducted on the basis of designers, dates of construction, phases, utilisations and numeric data such as costs and sizes as well as plans, perspectives, drawings, pictures, etc. In this way, all the information about the permanent city parks that reflects the respective periods and that passes the characteristics of these periods to the future generations were collected as a compact documentation. The purpose of this study is to contribute to documentation in the discipline of landscape architecture, a concept which tends to disappear rapidly in Turkey. In addition, identification of designing approaches, construction and maintenance concepts in related periods, as well as examination of development phases and the current situation of these factors are among the objectives of this study. Another main purpose of this study is to make, through such historical information, data and documentation, a considerable contribution to those who would perform studies in the future on the garden art and landscape architecture history. 2002, 277 pages
