Ill ABSTRACT ACCORDING TO THE DICTIONARY OF ANTHOLOGY THE NOUN SUFFIXES THAT ARE MADE OF VERBS ^ Ramazan Saka Department of Turkish Language and Literature, '\ Afyon Kocatepe University, The Institute of Social Sciences September 2002 Advisor : Prof. Dr. Gürer GÜLSEVİN In this work, the suffixes that are made from verbs as nouns are axaniined. Suffixes arc put in an alphabetical order. The use of each suffix are put in the category of transitive, intransitive, passive, active, causative. In other words, the suffixes are put in the categories of their types. In this grouping of categories the type of the suffixes are taken into account according to whether they are one syllable or more than one syllable. In addition to this, the suffixes are put in the category of noun, adjective, adverd and noun-adjective. In conclusion, we see that some of the suffixes come to particular type of suffixes and particular derivations are made as a result of this. The result of the each suffix is put in its surroundings. In this work, the derivations that dont fit to the Turkish language are dimed to be prerentcd.
