YÜKSEK LİSANS TEZ ÖZÜ ÖĞRENME-ÖĞRETME ORTAMINI ETKİLEYEN FİZİKSEL DEĞİŞKENLER Cahit ALCI Eğitim Bilimleri Anabilim Dalı Anadolu Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Haziran 2003 Danışman: Doç.Dr. Esmahan AĞAOĞLU Öğrenme-öğretme ortamının fiziksel olarak düzenlenmesi, etkili bir sınıf yönetiminin gerçekleşmesinde önemli bir boyuttur. Sınıftaki fiziksel değişkenlerin düzenlenmesi öğretmenin görevidir. Öğrenme ortamının sevimli ve üretken olabilmesi için sınıftaki; ısı, ışık, renk, oturma düzeni, öğrenci sayısı, görünüm v.b. gibi fiziksel değişkenlerin eldeki olanaklar ölçüsünde güdüleyici, öğretici ve ilgi çekici bir biçimde düzenlenmesi yapılan öğretimin kalitesini artıracaktır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, resmi genel liselerde görev yapan öğretmenlerle, bu okullarda öğrenim gören öğrencilerin, öğrenme - öğretme ortamım etkileyen fiziksel değişkenlere ilişkin görüşleri ile öğretmen ve öğrencilerin görüşleri arasında fark olup olmadığım belirlemektir. Tarama modelinde gerçekleştirilen bu betimsel araştırmanın çalışma evrenini Balıkesir İl merkezinde yer alan resmi genel liselerde görev yapan 416 öğretmen ile bu okullarda lise II'nci sınıfta öğrenim gören 487 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırma için gerekli olan veriler, bu araştırma için geliştirilen 32 maddeden oluşan anketin öğrencilere ve de öğretmenlere uygulanması sonucu elde edilmiştir. Toplanan verilerin bilgisayar ortamında 'SPSS 7.0 for Windows' paket programı ile istatistik çözümlemeleri yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde frekans, yüzde ve t testi kullanılmıştır. Anlamlılık düzeyi.05 olarak belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, öğrenme-öğretme ortamım etkileyen fiziksel değişkenlere ilişkin öğretmenler ile öğrencilerin görüşleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. uÖğrencilerin öğretmenlere göre, sınıfın fiziksel değişkenlerini öğrenme - öğretme ortamında daha etkili buldukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu sonuçlara dayalı olarak okul yöneticileri ve denetçilere; okullardaki öğrenme-öğretme ortamım etkileyen fiziksel değişkenlerin mevcut durumunu belirleyerek, iyileştirme çalışmaları yapmaları, görevli personeli yönlendirmeleri, öğretmen ve öğrencilerin görüşlerini dikkate almaları önerilmiştir. m

ABSTRACT THE VIEWS OF THE TEACHERS AND THE PUPILS ABOUT PHYSICAL VARIANTS THAT AFFECT THE CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT Cahit ALCI Anadolu University Educational Sciences Institute Department Educational Sciences, June 2003 Advisor: Associate Professor Dr. Esmahan AGAO?LU Organizing the learning environment physically is an important dimension in effective classroom management. It is the teacher's duty to organize the physical variants in a classroom. For the learning environment to be nice and productive, the temperature, lighting, color, seat order, number of students, etc. of a classroom should be organized as interesting and as forcing as possible to increase the quality of education. The purpose of this research is to find out what the teachers and students in official governmental schools think about the physical variants affecting the learning environment and whether there is a difference between the ideas of teachers and students. In this research, which was done by the scanning model, 416 teachers working in official governmental schools in Balıkesir and 487 students enrolling in the 2 nd grade of these schools participated. The data needed for this research was obtained by a 32-item questionnaire developed for this project and was applied to both the teachers and the students. The data obtained was statistically analyzed by the“SPSS 7.0 for Windows”computer program. In analyzing the data; frequency, percentage and t test were used. The reliability level was found.05. IVAccording to the results, significant differences were found between the ideas of teachers and students concerning the physical variants affecting the learning environment. Students belive that significant physical differences of the classroom are more important than teachers behave on the same topic. Depending on these results, school directors and inspectors were advised to direct the executive personnel, and to make improvements by first finding the actual state of the physical variants of schools affecting the learning environment.
