Özet
ÖZET İŞBİRLİKLİ ÖĞRENME YÖNTEMİNİN FEN BİLGİSİ DERSİ ATOMUN YAPISI ve PERİYODİK CETVEL KONUSUNUN ÖĞRETİLMESİNDE BAŞARIYA ETKİSİ Bu çalışmada İşbirlikli Öğrenme Yönteminin Birlikte Öğrenelim Tekniği kullanılarak 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin Fen Bilgisi dersi başarılarına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Kocaeli ili, Uzunçiftlik ilçesi, Rabak İlköğretim Okulu 7.sınıflarından tesadüfi olarak biri deney, biri kontrol grubu olacak şekilde iki sınıf tespit edilmiştir. Örneklem grubunu oluşturan toplam öğrenci sayısı 68'dir. Araştırma İlköğretim 7.sınıf“Atomun Yapısı ve Periyodik Cetvel”konusu üzerine yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya başlamadan önce her iki gruba da öğrencilerin ön bilgilerinin değerlendirilmesi amacı ile ön test, mantıksal düşünme yeteneği testi ve tutum ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubunda dersler geleneksel yöntemle işlenirken deney grubunda İşbirlikli Öğrenme Yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonunda her iki gruba da son-test ve tutum ölçeği uygulanmış ve yapılan etkinliklerin başarıya etkisi değerlendirilmiştir. İşbirlikli Öğrenme Yönteminin hatırlamaya etkisini değerlendirmek amacı ile her iki gruba 6 hafta sonra hatırlama testi uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca, öğrencilerin mantıksal düşünme yeteneğinin ve tutumlarının başarıya etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlar, İşbirlikli Öğrenme Yönteminin, geleneksel yönteme göre Fen Bilgisi dersi başarısında ve Fen Bilgisi dersine yönelik tutumlarında daha etkili olduğunu göstermiştir. Araştırma sonunda çeşitli öneriler geliştirilmiştir. Yapılan çalışmanın bu alanda yapılacak diğer araştırmalara yardımcı olması beklenmektedir. II

ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING METHOD AND ACHIEVEMENT OF TEACHING THE STRUCTURE OF ATOM IN SCIENCE COURSE AND THE SUBJECT OF PERIODIC TABLE In this study the effect on the achievement of the science course of the 7th grade students has been investigated using learn together tehnigue of cooperative learning methodFor this aim two classes of 7th grade students ane as the experiment and the other as the control group has been determined randomly from the Rabak Secondary School in Uzunçiftlik Kocaeli.The total number of the students who form this example group iş 68. The investigation has been carried out on the subject of the'“The Structure of the Atom and Periodic Table”in 7th grade secondary education.Before starting the investigation,both of the groups have been put into practice of the scientific achievement test,logical thinking ability test,and treatment scale to evaluate their preliminaries.While the courses were given according to the traditional method in the control group,the cooperative learning was brought into aplication in the experiment group. At the end of the investigation both of the groupswere aplied a last-testand the treatment scale and the activities which have been carried out and their effects on achievement wereevaluated.To realise the value of the effect of cooperative learning methodon remembering,both of the groups were given a remembering test 6weeks later. Furthermore, the effects of logical thinking ability and treatment of the students on achievementhas been researched. The results that have been reached at the end of theinvestigation have shown that cooperative learning method has been significantly far more effective than trditional method on science course achievement and the treatment towardsscience course. At the end of theinvestigation, a variation of proposals have been developed. This study is expected to be helpful for the other investigations which will be carried out on this subject. Ill
