11 YÜKSEK LİSANS TEZ ÖZE Tt YAHYA KEMAL'İN AZİZ İSTANBUL ADLI KİTABININ SÖZ DİZİMİ İNCELEMESİ HÜMEYRA ERTÜRKSOY Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı Anabiiim Daiı Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü OCAK 2004 Danışman: Doç. Dr. Erdoğan BOZ Yahya Kemal'in“Aziz İstanbul”adlı kitabından seçtiğimiz cümlelerin söz dizimi incelemesinden şu sonuçlan elde ettik. 1. İncelediğimiz sayfalardan 550 cümle seçtik. Seçilen cümleleri yapısına göre incelediğimizde basit cümlelerin diğerlerine oranla daha çok kullanıldığını gördük. Daha sonra bu sırayı sıralı, bağlı, birleşik ve kesik cümleler izlemektedir. 2. Cümleleri yüklemin türüne göre incelediğimizde fiil cümlelerinin ağırlığı görülmekle birlikte Yahya Kemal'in üslubunun bir özelliği olarak isim cümlelerinin de çokluğu göze çarpmaktadır. 3. Yüklemin yerine göre cümleleri incelerken dikkat edilecek en önemli husus kurallı cümlelerin hemen hemen tüm kitaba hakim olmasıdır. Yazar geleneksel cümle yapımıza sıkı sıkıya bağlı kalmaya çalışmıştır 4. Cümleleri anlamına göre incelediğimizde olumlu cümlelerin olumsuz cümlelere oranla oldukça fazla kullanıldığını görmekteyiz. Bunun yanında aralıklı olarak soru cümleleri de kullanılmıştır. 5. Kelime gruplarına bakıldığında, toplam 3447 adet kelime grubu olduğu görülmektedir. Bu oran, yazarın Türkçe'de yer alan kelime gruplarım ne kadar sıklıkla kullandığım ortaya koyar; dolayısıyla zengin bir ifade gücüne sahip olduğunu gösterir. Bu kelime gruplarının çoğunluğunu sıfat tamlaması oluşturmaktadır Bu sırayı isim tamlaması, edat grubu, sıfat-fiii grubu, birleşik fiil, bağlama grubu, zarf-fiil grubu, tekrar grubu, isim-fiil grubu, birleşik isim, unvan grubu, uzaklaşma grubu, aitlik grubu, yaklaşma grubu, sayı grubu, vasıta grubu izlemektedir. Yukarıda bahsedilen konularla ilgili istatistik tablolar halinde değerlendirme kısmında verilmiştir.

Ill ABSTRACT HE WORD TYPE SETTING STUDY OF YAHYA KEM AL' S NOVEL AZİZ İSTANBUL Hümeyra ERTÜRKSOY The Basic Studies of Turkish Language and Literature Afyon Kocatepe University Institue of Social Sciences January 2004 Supervisor: Assistant Professor Erdoğan BOZ From the word type setting study at sentences that we chose from the novel“Aziz Istanbul”written by Aziz Kemal we got these results 1) We found 550 sentences in the pages that we searched. When we examined these sentences were used rather than the others (complex ones). This order is followed by arrenged, tied, compound and cut sentences. 2) When we examined the sentences according to the types of their verbs it is understood that besides the strong verb sentences as a property of Yahya Kemal's style, there are a lot of noun sentences too. 3) While examinig the sentences according to the places of verbs The most important factor to give importance to is tahat the regular sentences daminate nearly the whole book. The writer has tried to be faithful to our traditional sentence structure. 4) When we examined the sentences according to their meanings we saw that the writer had used affirmative sentences relatively more than the negative ones. Besides this he had used interrogative sentences sometimes. 5) When we examined the word groups, we saw that thereare totally 3447 word groups. This rate depicts how often the writer uses the word groups in Turkish language, thus he shows how rich his expressions are. Most of these word groups comprises adjective phrases. This order is followed by noun phrases, particle phrases, adjective verb group, compound verb and binding groups. The statistic knowledge about the subjects mentioned above are given in the evulation part in tables.
