Özet
Bu tezde 1960-1971 arası Türkiye'de ortaya çıkan sol akımlar, yayınlar ve bir aydın hareketi olarak Sosyalist Kültür Derneği araştırılmıştır. 1960 sonrası dönemin ekonomik, sosyal ve siyasal yapısı incelenmiştir. Sol hareketin niteliği araştırılarak,“sol”da ki bölünmeler saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. 1962 yılında kurulan Sosyalist Kültür Derneği'nin kuruluşunu hızlandıran nedenler, derneğin önemli siyasal olaylar üzerindeki tavrı ve sol anlayışı tezin ana çerçevesini oluşturmaktadır. Tezde, önce 1960-1971 arası siyasal gelişmeler incelenmiştir. Bunu yaparken de 1960-1971 arasındaki siyasi olaylar kronolojik sıraya göre ele alınmıştır. 1960'dan 1961' e kadar süren askeri yönetim ve 1961 'den 1965 'e kadar süren sivil yönetime geçiş dönemi arkasından da 1965-1970 yıllan arasındaki toplumsal ve siyasal çalkantılar ve neticesinde 1971 muhtırası incelenmiştir. Daha sonra ise 1960'larda radikal sol muhalefetin çıkışını hazırlayan nedenler araştırılmıştır. Bu bağlamda sol akımlar üç grupta incelenmiştir: Yön, Türkiye İşçi Partisi ve Milli Demokratik Devrimciler. Aralık 1962' de Türk Sosyalizmini incelemek ve yaymak amacıyla kurulan Sosyalist Kültür Derneği'nin amacı, amaçlarım gerçekleştirmek için düzenlediği konferanslar ve haftalık toplantılar tezin kapsamı içerisindedir. Araştırmamızda Türk siyasal yaşamına ilişkin yazılmış kitaplar, sol örgütlenmelere ait yayın organları kullandığımız başlıca kaynaklar olmuştur. Ayrıca Sosyalist Kültür Derneği ile ilgili olarak Gülten Kazgan, Erdoğan Alkin ve Cahit Tanyol ile de röportaj yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın bütününden çıkan sonuç 1960 sonrası dönemde Türkiye'de siyasal hayatı etkileyen en önemli yeni unsur, sosyalist düşüncenin ve eylemin açıkça ortaya çıkmış olmasıdır. Böyle bir ortamda Sosyalist Kültür Derneği'nin kuruluşu Türk toplumu için bir çıkış yolu olabilmiş midir? Bu tezin konusu budur. ııı

The leftist currents, publications and the Socialist Culture Association that emerged in Turkey between 1960 and 1971 were researched in this thesis. To study Turkey's economic-social structure and the political developments in Turkey after 1961, and indicating the nature of the socialist movement and what social and political environment it was in, political conflicts in the“Left”, the reasons that accelerated establishment of the Socialist Culture Association established in the year 1962,“the Understanding of Left”of the Socialist Culture Association and the position of the Association on significant political events constitute the framework of the thesis. In the thesis, the political developments between 1960 and 1971 were firstly studied. In doing so, the political events between 1960 and 1971 were discussed according to the chronological order. The military administration that continued from 1960 and 1961 and the transition period to a civilian administration that continued from 1961 to 1965 and subsequently the social and political agitations between the years 1965 and 1970 and in conclusion the 1971 memorandum were studied. Afterwards, the reasons that prepared the emergence of the radical left opposition in the 1960's were researched. In this context, the leftist currents were studied under three groups: Yön (Direction), Türkiye İşçi Partisi (Workers' Party of Turkey) and Milli Demokratik Devrimciler (National Democratic Revolutionaries). The purpose of the Socialist Culture Association established in December 1962 to study and spread the Turkish Socialism, the conferences and the weekly meetings that it held in order to realize its purposes are within the scope of the thesis. In my research, the book written concerning the Turkish political life and the media organizations belonging to leftist organizations were the major resources I used. And also interviewed with Gülten Kazgan,Erdoğan Alkin and Cahit Tanyol about Socialist Culture Association. IVThe conclusion that emerged from the entire study is that the most important new element affecting the political life in Turkey, the socialist thought and action, evidently emerged. Could establishment of the Socialist Culture Association in such an environment become a way out for the Turkish society? That is the subject of this thesis.
