ABSTRACT This thesis is interested in relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Also this study investigates the relation of demographic factors (such as sector, position, educational level, tenure, gender, marital status, with children) on the relation of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. There are seven main parts; which are literature survey, subject, method, results, discussion, conclusion, and recommendation in this thesis. Job satisfaction and organizational commitment are explained and discussed in literature survey part. Background of the survey explained in subject part. Procedures, analysis, instruments, hypothesis and sampling method are explained in the method part. The results of the survey analyzed in the results part. Results are argued in the discussion part. Results are interpreted in the conclusion part. And finally, suggestions of the following researches are in recommendation part. Two hypotheses are developed related with the aim of the study. The role of the survey is helping us to examine hypothesis in the context of purpose. According the research, we expect that the relation between organizational commitment and job satisfaction, which is the difference characteristics based, has difference levels. Using correlation analysis on data; which was collected from 401 employees from the difference sectors, a relation between organizational commitment and job satisfaction was found. But, point of sector view, only military services have a relation, which was between normative commitment and extrinsic satisfaction, private sector has no relation. Also tenure based analysis show that, tenure and the relation of organizational commitment and job satisfaction, which were tenure 1-5 years and 6-10 years, have a positive relation except tenure 1 1 or more years. Finally, position and educational level factors have similar relation. The relation between continuous commitment, and co-workers & work conditions decreased while position and educational level increased. At the same time, in high educated level, continuous commitment and normative commitment relation lower than the other levels
