VI ABSTRACT Ünver F. Fffects of Proprioceptive Training in Ankle inversion Injuries. Hacettepe Universty Institute of Health Sciences, Doctorate Thesis in Sports Physiotherapist Program, Ankara, 2004. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of a 4 week proprioceptive training program on postural control which was an important part of proprioceptive status, pain and some functional parameters. Twenty athletes 5 female and 15 male, total 20 subjects with unilateral ankle inversion sprain participated in this study. Mean age was 21.29±3.9 years (range 17-28). Training was performed bilaterally for one hour a day, five times per week, for a period of four weeks. Subjects were tested for postural control, range of motion, pain and functional parameters before and after the training period. Postural control status was analyzed and recorded with the KAT 2000 (OEM Medical, Carlsbad, California, USA) stabilometry.
